Interestingly they have a hydraulic clutch in production for the road, but for some reason it's not ready yet for MTB? Incremental updates? Smile If anything, considering what's going on with Shimano derailleurs, I think it'd make sense to have the Sram version servicable too.

@RiderMikeCheck1 Specialized was on Sram back in the day, when it was Monster Specialized and then when Troy was on the team. Gwin threw a wrench into it, requesting FoxX suspension and he got that. After that, Gravity Republic switched from Lapierre to Specialized, but they kept full Sram sponsorship in the move. Then came the Ohlins switch, which complicated things, as they dropped Sram as a sponsor. They were and still are buying Sram drivetrains, covering up the logos (more or less what the Athertons do as well, or Scott/Brendan Fairclough, who runs Sram cassettes with a TRP derailleur)...

I might have this all wrong, but I assumed as Fox pay the teams to use their products, it is more about the strategy of the suspension brand. I think Fox just shell out a lot more cash to be perceived as the better product from occupying more space on the podium. Also, I assume it is similar to the OEM space, where SRAM/rockshox will bring a package of suspension+transmission+brakes for a price, but probably the top teams can get more money out of having a unique sponsor for each category above? I doubt there is much difference in the...

They're running Ohlins, and I'm not sure if they are even sponsored by SRAM, as I seem to recall that they were blacking out some of the SRAM logos on their cranks in the 2019 season.

I thought about that as well. Then ignored it because who in their right mind would consider voluntarily joining them, right?! Tongue Seriously though, it´s not impossible at all. It would really make a lot more sense to decline their offer at this point in time, as they´re kinda known to be a rather success driven team, at least in years prior. Probably not the best environment for a young rider to learn the ropes and Vali seems to make her career choices very tentatively and prefer letting things grow organically.

Holy shit yes. Shimano is bigger in components and fox has moto/offroad etc. but in mtb I’d be willing to bet they have the biggest market share of anyone.

Naah. For safety equipment, saying things will prevent injuries so and so much better is a claim that is not necessarily quantifiable. The WaveCel lawsuits is as far as I can see based on documentation from Bontrager from questionable sources (or sources with questionable conflict of interest). I am not sure wavecel is much better, and other helmet safety technology suppliers have stated that Bontrager's claims are not waterproof.

If I remember correctly the 951 swingarms cracking was a normal thing. It happened on the yoke by the lower pivot, where they made a niiiice sharp edge, which is an excellent stress riser. I know of a case (a DH racer TBH...) where 3 swingarms cracked in one season.

Do you have numbers to back that up? Because I know of quite a few Socom owners and all frames are/were still in good shape during ownership (minus dents because of thin tubes). The frames that I have seen cracked were ridden by folks that had no business owning one. 200 pounds huck to flat rider were not the intented buyers. That is why Intense came out with the 951 as replacement, which was a privateer's DH bike or park bike if you will and not a superlight, precise DH bike for a rider with the necessary finess.

Drop the Zeb R? Also, it still has the Charger damper, while the Yari is on the Motion Control damper. Plus the 7000 series aluminium stanchions of the Lyrik vs. 6000 series stanchions of the Yari. Also, the Domain had steel stanchions back in the day, at least I'm guessing so as they were chrome plated. Plus the Yari RC MSRP is ~300 € lower than the Zeb R. I'm thinking there is a place for a Zeb-like-Domain in the lineup lower down, to cover entry level e-bikes.

Hmm....let´s see. It´s gotta be a team that has been long established and not one of those changing names and banners every three years. It has to also present some sort of value outside of their product to be considered a great team and not just a great bicycle company. Something like the Syndicate, Nukeproof or MS Racing? All have great loyalty to their riders, great management and a seemingly good team atmosphere. I think the Syndicate would be THE team for a lot of racers. Any other suggestions?

Vali interview on PB: "Last year was super exciting. I got so many offers that I didn't really expect that people would be interested in me because I just raced juniors, and that's nothing, but that was just crazy. I got so many offers, and one big offer from my most favorite team, I always wanted to be with them. SRAM said they're interested and the one special team asked me, and it was so hard to decide what I'm going to do, but I just realized that it's not the right time to go with them and I wanted...

Ethan is on the sidelines because of a concussion (another one for the 100 % concussion lineup?) and Andrew is still managing it. But that's TFR, this is not TFR, this is Sram's, supported by Trek team (TLD clothing...).

Yeah I’m wondering if Andrew is managing tfr and trek/rockshox or if tfr is moving in a new direction. Two teams with that much talent sounds pretty insane amount of work. Maybe loris is bringing on his own people.
