I think the primary compensation mechanism for tech bro execs is when they get to imitate Steve Jobs walking around a visually minimal stage design in jeans talking about a powerpoint: https://www.forbes.com/sites/billroberson/2025/03/31/rivians-micromobil…

I'm sure this will get as much debate as their brake reviews, but the germans over at enduro-mtb have released a big tire review with some puncture protection and rolling resistance values: https://enduro-mtb.com/en/the-best-mtb-tire-in-review/ I like how reading this thread and these type of reviews make me wonder how I survive riding on lighter casings when everyone recommends gravity stuff...

The idea of the variable path was what he was going for, but not the high and low speed shaft movements doing different of axle paths. It was called VST. I’ve talked to Frank about this and even asked him about making one for me. He said the axle path almost looked like a football shape, it would move backwards up and then forward and you can pump it railroad track and just generate speed. This is an old image and screen grab I found off of a forum from the early 2010s

We’ve critiqued them before for not reading the room when it comes to decisions they make. Turning off the comment-section on that post however seems they read it just right..

Fine if you feel that way, but I try to ask for riders opinions on the current state of the sport and also anything happening inside so people from the outside can learn more, Finns response was great and a lot people enjoyed his opinions. I interview riders who are doing well in the race, on race day my video is to tell the story of the race. I can't make a judgement on a case where no one actually knows the full story, and we never will it seems, so until then I will interview the riders who performed...

If I had to guess, that zip-tie on the linkage is so people don't try to cycle the linkage because the shock doesn't work. I find it much more likely that the rear shock isn't pressurized than someone went through all the effort to make that frame but it doesn't work. It's way easier to make a bike frame (especially with that lugs-and-tubes design) than a functioning rear shock that can contain the 200psi people will cram in it. I have doubts the company will survive coming into the market with such a wide range of offerings, historically it seems...

Ryan Burney Liked a forum topic What I Learned Starting a Tire Insert Company

Hey, I’m Ryan Burney. I’ve been engineering bikes for 8 years, and this is a breakdown of what I’ve learned starting my own small business, Rim Saver. In this post, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned while launching a product business in the bike world. What worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently. If it helps even one person take the leap or avoid a mistake, it’ll be worth it. Background I made the first version of Rim Saver in college. The idea started out as a beadlock concept, then evolved into a beadlock with rim protection, then just rim...
