IIRC Horst Leitner used it on amp bikes before licensing it to the Evil Corporate Overlords (Not Terk, the other lot).

It was Karl Nicolai working with Horst Leitner that were the first with AMP Research. Nicolai built loads of bikes for other brands during those early days too. Everyone remembers Specialized because they owned the patent for so many years

Oh she goes through he rough stuff pleanty well too. My optic has had some pretty wild days in Whistler valley and what not. It punches far above it's weight class. Being 6'1 I do have the lanky legs to compensate a bit more when the rear travel gets used and abused which does help. But yeah like most things now you can get away with less travel and still have a bike that eats well.

Man that’s confusing. The Fluid was kind of the entry level bike, and the Optic was the next step up with more aggressive geometry. Weird that they would change that formula. The Optic as it stands now is super rad. Had some time on one recently and it really shines on the fast flow trail style garbage that every trail network has these days. Would really like to try one on a natural trail. As far as the high pivot rumors go for the Sight and Optic, I’m guessing they’ll go with more of a single pivot design. If they...

Forbidden guys only had a hand in the AurumHSP. They were not involved in the Shore or Range that were released well after Forbidden was founded. Forbidden is sticking with a high single pivot while norco is running a high virtual pivot on those bikes, to my understanding.

The last time I spoke with my contact at Norco he said they weren't planning on making mullet bikes. When the Range was in its prototyping phase, they made one in a mullet config but it was apparently consitently worse on the tracks they were testing on.

The problem is your view doesn't hold up long term, let alone even in the very short term. E-bikes are impossible to regulate, they're already being used illegally daily regardless of that silly and quite useless "Class" system & technology has already blown past the meager Class 1. Class 3 looks like a 1. SurRon looks like a 3 & a 2 & a 1. SurRon has already shattered a guys jaw & escaped. I've already seen two SurRons poaching Pisgah in less than a month. I see e-bikes poaching every single trail in Pisgah & they're illegal on all...

Starting Team Rumors with Seth is a very telling thing. Man how the world has changed. -Ebike racing is the new washed up racer who still wants to be pro move -Big S gets the interwebs and pays enough money for your tiktok stars to pay for legit video crew -Bearclaw is back on the Big S after ditching Canyon(where is the drama on this one????)

Interesting that they have a burly and xc/trail suspension platforms on the bike in different photos. Will be interesting to see if it reaches the public with different options and if one model may be up forked for a more aggressive geo. As far as ebike hate I got none for the bikes. But that said the vast majority of ebikers where I live are the worst. But to be fair they were the worst when they were on trail bikes with trust forks too.

You sir are doing the lords work. Absolutely fantastic coverage, more than any viewer could ask for. Seriously, I love this more "intimate" style of coverage with all its little details about the venue and the track and the insights into your and your teams' journey at the races. You and Jack Moir have basically made the EWS interesting for...
Bit of bike setup talk in here: https://youtu.be/WwW8tQqTsRs It isn't my best work but I will get the hang of it for this format. Shakedown day could be a chance for me to get some of the extra content that you guys would like. The interviews on race day would be sweet but I don't want to impose on the guys if they aren't comfortable having that kind of stuff published. I feel like them talking to me is a bit more personal than talking to the media guys. And honestly, Jack gets some really good footage of that stuff...

David Assfalg, Propain CEO, released a statement a couple of weeks ago: https://www.propain-bikes.com/en/update-on-the-current-situation [i]Dear PROPAIN customers, mountain bikers, e-mountain bikers and bike friends! It is time for an update regarding our delivery situation. We have never had a situation like this at PROPAIN and neither expected nor guessed. Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the delivery situation since our last statement. The Ukraine conflict is further impacting production capacity by causing shortages of key raw materials. In addition, the ongoing lockdown in China is having a major impact on freight traffic, which has virtually collapsed. Delivery dates already firmly promised by...
