Personally, I think it’s great. I wish the U.S. would lay down some authority too. There might be a few riders who opt not to get vaccinated, but I don’t think it will be any of the top contenders. Bring on the racing!

Part of the reason DH bikes have shorter reaches than trail bikes is because of the long front center due to the longer axle to crown and slack HA. The more stretched out you are the harder it is to go over the bars but the less leverage you have to create a front wheel lift and rotate around the rear axle. The longer the front center, the harder it is as well to get that front wheel up. Of course there's more to it when you think about levers as geometry is a whole package with the BB drop...

This whole building looks like the room in Men in Black where Will Smith is sitting in the 'modern' egg shaped chair and struggles with no surface to write on hahaha Still cool design and it's dope but I dunno, is there any soul in there?

@Jason your IC drawing is not correct, the chainstay has another link attaching it to the front triangle. And yeah, it is very much what Felt used with the Equilink. Color me impressed, Commencal bucking the single pivot trend!

Lol, fir sure a huge amount of people want the longest dropper cause its a trend and then they never actually drop it that far when out riding!! For sure there are some riders who either need that much drop fir fit, extreme terrain, or just move around on the bike so much in the air, etc. BUT my .02 us most just do it to look cool... Nothing wrong with wanting a cool bike, just seems like the whole 210mm drop "necessity" is over played.

With the 180 fork, spacer under the heatube and spacers on top his actual reach might be 450mm... totally weird setup for such a tall guy.

RS inline shocks are fine, dunno what all the fuss is about. Can take a megneg, not horrible damping. Unless you're doing big descents of course.

instead of censoring, we'll just add e-bike stuff here as retaliation. HA! New Bosch CX ebike motor updates and it's actually pretty interesting b/c the bosch motor/battery/interface is already one of the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGEi0m3CLyw

I highly doubt that! I can't name a single brand who is doing that. Womenspecific bikes have different tunes. Shock tunes are matched to work with kinematic systems not with rider weight. Same for volume spacers, they need to match kinematic and riding style but not weight.

Weird test. Why should there be a dedicated size specific shock tune?

Very true, none of our Reactor models would be considered "extreme" or win a game of Top Trumps. However we put a lot of of effort into the engineering, R&D and testing to ensure they perform for riders in the real world on the trail. So far most riders, racers and media seem to enjoyed riding them (check Vitals review the other week). But happy to accept that they may not be for everyone- the beauty of the bike industry is there are a lot of brands to choose from.

Disagree with the stance of this article from an opinion basis, but there is also numerous incorrect pieces of info, I also do not appreciate Vital's choice of image for the lead (Racer guy hammering, and some dude bobbling on a roach emtb with no helmet, no proper attire, etc....that misleads the reader that all people on an eMTB are this guy). It is not a different sport and its as much as a different tool as a hardtail XC bike is to a 160mm trail bike. You are a test rider, and all you came away with is "heavy...
