The beginning of Jack's video where they're in the fan shuttling reminds me of one of the things that makes enduro great... all the riders able to "party" and have a good time as groups. The atmosphere and mood during enduro (both fun/happy and miserable/suffering) are what set it apart from DH. It's about the racing, but it's also about the experience and the story just as much. I'm unsure if there's even a way to capture it in a live format.. and really it's more about the experience for the racers than the fans I suppose, which is why...

At what point does the cover on Loics bike violate the rule about fairings on bicycles? it’s quite a thought out aero design, I’m surprised nobody has challenged this

thanks all! glad you're stoked! we had a lot of people help make this happen and finally hyped to turn it on! remember, you can tweak your team until saturday night at 11pm PST, so that's after semi finals. go brave, make your picks and run or get crafty and see who's actually going to the show and adjust.

some early pit bits pics just slapped in here. real stuff will start tomorrow. canyon DH bike with no cover and more George Jefferson status with Dak's cockpit (movin' on up...) kinda prefer Ronan all dirty with a clapped bike more. we'll give a day or two. so much podium potential in this shot. tahnee not in her anti-SpeedSuit. assume this is vali's.

When I was at Sea Otter last week, I asked a few brands, "What's the state of the bike industry post-COVID?" Most people's responses were broad and not super in-depth, but overall, most people are optimistic looking forward. And the brands that are feeling it the most didn't plan appropriately for the inevitable decline in demand after the COVID boom. Here is the audio from the conversations: https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/state-mtb-industry-post-covid

Yeah absolutely. It also shrinks supply chains, lowers inventory costs, improves turn around and development. It's why lugged tubbed frames are so good for small size manufacturers. But also useless for large scale manufacturers. Their cost per unit is OK at high prices, but they really don't scale and get cheaper. It's why brands like We are One have to reuse their molds for all their models and adjust links, they simply can't afford to have 15+ different moulds while do it in Canada. They found a technological solution of adapting a few molds to do a lot. Whereas othe...

fyi, our fantasy league has soft-launched. rules, prizes etc are here with a "join league" button at the bottom. if you've already joined, you'll see "manage team" button instead. as soon as the official start list for fort bill comes in, we'll be rolling and you can start building a team. i'll create a fantasy-specific forum post, but all you hardcore race fans, LET'S GO! https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy

because it normalizes overall brake performance with regards to varying pad compound. its no secret that a good brake system can be hindered by mediocre pads and that you can improve performance of otherwise meh brakes with better pads. i agree that there is value in testing brakes wholistically as people will buy them (including OEM pads & rotors as you mentioned), or a bike that they are spec'd on. however the kind of bike nerd that's reviewing a table comparing peak brake forces and deceleration times is also the kind that is more likely to not replace their pads...
