hope bernard is ok. at least there was the clip of him sitting and talking w/ the medic, but holy crap that was a big hit. and what about Ellie destroying the other women by almost 6 seconds. She was in a league of her own with aggression and line choice. Junior Women WC season is going to be a heater this year too!

His "advisors and lawyers" have to be losing their damn minds over these statements to the press. Not sure how things work in France, but as both an attorney and avid fan of American football, I know how these situations are supposed to be handled in the US: you have one of your "advisors or lawyers" issue, or draft for you to issue, a public statement that says nothing in a competent and measured manner, explain that you can't comment for legal reasons, project confidence by claiming that look forward to all the facts coming to light and clearing your...

That is one of the best looking frames I have ever seen. Neko & Frameworks are hands down the coolest thing happening in MTBing right now. More vids!

Riding my bike(s). That sounds facetious but it's really the best way I can explain it. Most days, I'll just look at the bike(s) standing there, and feel this pull to go out and ride one of them. After all these years, that's pretty cool. Also, it's clearly an addiction haha. (many of the other answers in the poll apply as well!)

I haven't seen this photo of the FrameWorks lugged bike. The lines and flow of this frame look amazing.

Switchbacks are a bit of a pain and whips feel a bit awkward sometimes. I kind of enjoy the challenge on switchbacks though. I have to maximize every corner like a Formula 1 driver to prevent myself from riding off the trail. Also, that picture of the helmet on backwards is perfect

I'm not sure an Mtb forum is really the best venue to argue about rape conviction rates to be honest.

Not sure if this is the right place to share but here's a couple thoughts/rumors on random bike stuff after attending the Sedona bike fest 1. All the guys that brought their DJ and bmx bikes lost to a guy that was on a demo yeti sb135 for the bunny hop contest. It's the rider, not the bike. 2. Always wondered what gearbox bikes felt when you tried to shift underload - it doesn't shift! I was climbing a not very steep road to get back to the venue on a (demo)Zerode and was stuck in gear 4 all the...

From PB-"I just found out about the allegations. And I have to say, I’m not shocked. There was always something about him that rubbed me the wrong way, even when he was seeing some success, I wasn’t stoked." You see this is the level of informed discourse we should aspire to on here.

Departs from 2 teams in 3 months. Now has "advisors and lawyers" to deal with the rumors surrounding the circumstances. I'll withhold judgment until more facts come out, but I'll be very surprised if Daprela comes out of this clean.

Here are links to new Epics and XC Flight Attendant: https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/bikes/specialized/epic-evo-48446… https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/rockshoxs-xc-flight-attenda… Disclaimer: I grew up racing downhill, and like most folks on Vital, I prefer gravity-focused bikes/riding. I pedal, but usually as a means to access descents, and I'm typically on 140mm+ bikes. Showing up at an XC press camp with flat pedals and a trail helmet was pretty comical. I figured I'd like the EVO more since I enjoy pushing bikes on descents. But turns out, I really underestimated what XC bikes are capable of, as the Epic blew my doors off. It was fun to check out...

I think that (sustainable, sensical business endeavor, professional) racing requires appropriate race courses, and this gets at a conflict really central to mtb. Singletrack trails are like the heart of mtb participation and a huge portion of mtb’s relationship with land and other land users. We leave very little trace, we cut down very few trees, we happily go along with the pretense that a piece of legislation can define a bicycle with a motor as not a motor vehicle (watch me pull a rabbit out of my class 1 hat!), we don’t like paying at the trailhead. This ain’t...

I don't know if this will apply to your situation, but I found the HSC knob on my new '23 Super Deluxe to add a lot of harshness on high speed chatter and rocks without adding a lot of upside. I live in a desert with rocks and a lot of high speed chatter, not unlike your ride at Moab. The low speed knob and HBO were friendly but my HSC is either wide open or 1 click from open. YMMV Sesame guy is being more than unhelpful, but he's not completely wrong. It is hard to recommend anything without...
