3/4/2024 12:30am Definitely going to take a look at them. Hard to say what all will really be possible until can see what the pad retract numbers are. There are some specific things I want to try that could work out quite well knock on wood.

3/4/2024 12:29am red bull cerro abajo vid below (it's also on our homepage, but it's a super fun watch). the interesting part to me was watching live during the last handful of riders and between english- and spanish-speaking broadcasts on youtube there were upwards of 30-35k people watching at that moment. that seems like a massive number for a race without a stacked roster. the english version of the cerro abajo has 150k views after being up for 4 hours. to compare (and i know it's a finals vs semi-finals but...) MSA world cup semi-finals live on youtube has 118k views and...

3/2/2024 4:12pm Thanks friend. I guess it was time to make an account after all, haha. To clarify a few things: - Yes, the title is abrasive, but I feel that I’ve justified that opinion in (too much) detail throughout the video. I’m not on YouTube to make money, considering I make less than C$4 RPM after tax. I also never pushed my resume/background in my video. - After I connected the rear brake, I cycled the pistons to probably 50% of what was recommended in the manual to ensure they were moving smoothly, which they were. I noticed minimal difference between...

3/2/2024 12:17am One thing I've been curious about with these, since I haven't gotten a chance to mess with them, is how pad clearance looks. The pistons are quite large and my understanding is the master cylinder piston is at least very similar in size to that of a Code. Assuming the 50% more power thing is correct the math verifies this. That would require one of two things to keep lever throw within check: decreased pad clearance or much lower leverage ratio in the early portion of lever throw in order to quickly advance the pads at first. What I ran...

3/2/2024 12:13am Seems like he's running into the same issue encountered in the Vital review, but didn't take the time to troubleshoot. The Mavens do have an extra step now, which requires a few cycles of the pistons to get things primed and set into place. The initial setup requires two to three cycles of the pistons through their full range of motion to help the two-step seals settle into place and center. I made the genius decision of ignoring this step on my initial setup and can confirm it is necessary. After referring to the troubleshooting portion of the owner's manual...

3/2/2024 12:11am Pretty brutal review of the Mavens. I saw other reviews that mentioned the lever pull, but not to this extent.

I’ve been having trouble sleeping this week and I’ll come here at 3am and it’s all Quickbooks bots—who cleans that up? I’d like to Venmo you five bucks for your troubles.

2/25/2024 12:19am I'm gonna take a guess and say that the "diaper" may be to cover up the motor, testing a different motor on the current design. The current Sight and Range run Shimano motors. If you look at Minaar's story, his new ride has a Bosch remote and controller. So if that's the new Range, there's a switch in motors. Maybe the Sight will be getting an update to a Bosch motor soon.

2/23/2024 9:50am I've compiled a list of moves in enduro racing for this winter, covering the top 40 MEN and top 20 WOMEN. Hopefully, I haven't missed anything. Here are some interesting stats: - None of the men from the top 20 remain without a team - 9 men from the top 40 are currently without a team - 3 men switched to E-EDR - 1 free agent, Elliot Jamieson, has signed with a team - There haven't been as many moves in women's racing, with only Bex Baraona and Katy Winton left without a team. 7 Daniel Booker - Nukeproof Sram...

2/22/2024 12:26am Nigel Page just put a goodbye and thanks post on Instagram. I find this super sad, as he is one class act as a human being. I read this as in ”hopes were still on until the last moment”. I can't wish him and the team anything else but the best. I want to add one more thing here: I met Pagey 22 years ago at the Worlds. He was injured and watched the races from the side and somehow I ended up talking to him. Being the kid in love with racing that I was and still am, I...
