conclusion: just because this video is nauseating doesn't mean they can't fulfill on their promises of good race coverage. do i have faith in them? i think that's pretty plain to see by my comments, but as a few people have told me via text in the last few minutes, give them a chance. i'll try, but i'll be holding my breath knowing what happens anytime significant corporate investor money comes into something with the promise of "taking it to the next level" and elevating something to mainstream/worldwide status.

For me this is the risk of editing for sound bites, the review becomes just that, generic sound bites, nuances and details are lost. The straight to camera, single person confessional is also very generic. I remember a spez stumpy review which was great. A long form candid podcast style discussion would also be great.

Hey Guys, another update. Austin was one of the first people I called after getting hurt. We're buddies and talk/ride together fairly regularly. I let him know what was up and wanted to confirm that he was staying in Europe for the next month like I thought he was. He's racing Maribor this weekend and isn't planning on coming back home until after the WC in Switzerland next month either way. That was good news as he's easily ready to go if I pull out. I also contacted USAC to make sure they get him everything he needs to compete...
