Fair enough, not knocking the Maiden, it was a rig. But Rocky obviously didn't see the business sense for it and the new slayer it much more of a sled than the last one. It's a perfect fit right in between the old slayer and the Maiden.

Haven’t ridden a lot, but have a few good trail rides in on the DH34s. In short, they’re like Velcro and they roll considerably better than I had imagined. I have no regrets, even on a SS hardtail. DH34s (maybe a 22/34 combo) will be going my FS trail bike when I build it up. Also, I’m fairly certain the loud yellow sidewalls are good for a few extra watts...

Rocky already did it with the new Slayer and killed off the Maiden. And I can tell you my new Slayer is an absolute beast. It's slacker than any DH bike I've owned, although it's been a few years since I've had one. There's also one in bike checks that was modded for 190mm out back and has DH fork on it. Having a big mountain bike that can take on full DH/park duty's and climb reasonably will be the final nail for half the DH rigs out there.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Sad that this is what inspired me to finally pitch in. This is total BS. This is total conjecture, based on nothing. Consider that this is precisely how people like Weinstein got away with their shit for so long. Erode somebody's reputation by implying that they're difficult to work with. I know you're not responsible for her contract, but come on. Consider how hard people here worked to defend the reputation of a well known male pro recently. And he actually did something worth criticizing! But based on nothing, you're going to speculate that...

My Instincts tell me Rocky has a solo model about to drop from a high altitude that's going to be a solid element to their line up. It's going to be a real power play on their part, like a thunderbolt crashing down.

What would be amazing, is that the Aurum/Range are infact the same bike! Imagine if it was a link or shock stroke change away from 170mm to 200mm (or 190) and a flip chip to adapt the geo for the fork. If this was the case, I'd be EXTREMELY interested. Can't justify a DH bike anymore, but those 2-3 times a year I do go to the lift accessed parks I sure do miss them. The geo's are no longer worlds apart, only the travel number.
