7/30/2026 1:26pm From what I know, it's going to be like 140mm travel. What I don't know is if it's a flex pivot or a Horst link. If it's a Horst link they should call it the new genius because that what it'll be.

7/30/2026 1:24pm Probably not renders, but quickly photo shopped images. Treks done that for years so they can show all the configurations quickly and update them if there is a spec change.

7/24/2026 11:56am I’m thinking about starting a new poll thread. It will be called “would you rather” The options will be: Would you rather take the time to actually read and learn about “ecvt’s” in regards to bikes? Orrrrrrrr…. Would you rather smash up an incandescent light bulb and smash the shards into your eyeballs? This thread is getting exhausting with gearbox nerds.

7/22/2026 6:38am Keep in mind that the 68.3 HTA was only for the xc race version with a 100mm fork, the HTA on the Trail with a 120mm fork is 67.1 which the new one is a lot closer too

7/17/2026 3:52pm So, you're saying that it isn't just 1 pawl engaging with the drive ring at a time, only one pawl is making contact and the other 5 aren't? How does that work? How are the pawls kept down and out of the way

7/17/2026 6:22am I'm pretty sure he means that it's XX Transmission to eagle 90, both are direct mount transmission style drive trains.

7/15/2026 11:20am Not to mention, 3 out 5 bikes with transmission that come in have slipped in the frame, so that the B gap is too small and there's slack in the chain. This is after torquing them to spec on the derailleur and the axle.

7/13/2026 7:21pm Congratulations, you invented Hammerschmidt. In my opinion, and I've already talked about this, something like a Classified hub could be potentially viable for mtb use, but coupled with a 6 speed wide range cassette. Think skipping every second gear we have currently and having around 40 % jumps between gears. The gap in between those is handled by the internal hub. Obviously the derailleur would have to be electric then and the buttons on the handlebars would control both the derailleur and the internal hub as the latter would shift every time with the derailleur shifting only every other gear...
