1/28/2026 11:26pm Man, wonder how much that's going to weigh. Iron filings in the fluid, the electro magnet, and the electronics to run it all.

1/28/2026 9:39am Manitou has selected this particular paint scheme to make it so German U-boats will be unable to accurately estimate Manitou riders' speed and heading.

1/28/2026 9:39am It's working, when was the last time you heard reports of the Germans sinking a Manitou fork?

Eae903 Added a reply to MTB Handlebar Diameter Debates - 31.8 vs 35 and more
1/23/2026 7:03pm I mean the direction of the rise separate from the backsweep and upsweep. So on my bikes if you were to draw a line in the direction of the rise of the bars, it would be vertical, straight up and down relative to the ground. Here's a picture of my bike, it might be a bit hard to see but...

1/23/2026 1:00pm What is the direction of your bar rise relative to the ground? I always run my bars with the rise perpendicular to the ground to get the most out of the rise, and I've found that doing that puts the up sweep and back sweep right on the right position. Anything less than that makes the back sweep down sweep

1/23/2026 9:48am Not to mention that if a bike is high use, those bleed screw heads will be weakened by exposure to temperature change and uv radiation, and leading to failure and torques below spec.
Eae903 Added a reply to Modern Geo Talk: Chainstays, Stack, Reach, and Bitching About It
1/23/2026 9:39am It really depends on the linkage that they use, and how they try to preserve the kinematics. A lot of the time that is how it is done, since it reduces the number of parts that they need to make. You already need to make 4 different front triangles for an S-XL size run, why make 4 different size rear...

1/21/2026 3:44pm Still seems weird to me, not that I'll complain about a way to avoid paying taxes haha (I understand that HSAs and FSAs are added to pre tax, might be wrong) . Who else is running a program like this?

1/21/2026 12:51pm This is the only place I can think of to ask about this. I just saw a marketing email from Evil about how they are teamed up with a company that will allow you to pay for your bike using funds from an HSA or FSA if you're medically qualified. How would that work? How do you justify that kind...

11/24/2025 8:55am Ideally, you want the caliper mount on the floating link to reduce the effect of braking forces on the suspension, lower the anti rise. If it's an inverted system, so that the main pivot is connected to the seat stay and the chainstay is the floating link, then having the brake mount on the seat stay defeats the purpose of...

11/24/2025 8:36am I think we all want to see a pic of Bruni's thighs but it might be for different reasons. A lot of people think that a hematoma is just like a big bruise but it's really not. Definitely not something to mess around with and Bruni likely made the right choice. Hope he can heal up and adjust to fatherhood...
Eae903 Added a comment about feature We Discuss YT
11/21/2025 8:27am You're probably right in some ways, but keep in mind the timing for the announcements that YT was continuing operations and everything that had transpired before that. Why let the US side go on and on for so long just to make it so that they start shutting down to the announce that the deal happened and that there won't be a break in operations? I'm no ceo or expert in business, but that is extremely weird, especially since he said the Na side of the business was very important to YT overall. This definitely feels like a weird power...

11/12/2025 10:24am My shop does mechanical work on basically any E-bike brought in, but we won't do electrical work on a lot of them. We'll work on the good names, Bosch, Shimano, TQ, Fazua and we carry aventon, which are surprisingly decent now. The reason typically is that we don't want to break something that we can't get parts for, or can't...
