I may be mistaken but it looks to me like there may be an off menu item for those who wanted the MT to have all the adjustments of the LT. If you put a 160 fork on the LT and shortened the shock stroke to 60 or 62.5 instead of 65, you could get approximately the the same geo as the MT with the rear travel reduced to right around 150, you could even go 57.5 stroke and get really close to 140 rear travel. I got the new XT cable derailleur and the spring is fine, I think its better than the clutch in old XT.

And I bet that downhill bike will be the Norco team! Should good timing to release that with the World Cup just happening and hardline right around the corner and having riders and both! This is just speculation but I can’t imagine they’re being a more perfect release time for any Bike right now

I'm not actually 100% sure of what I witnessed today. This was by far the most unhinged thing I've ever seen involving bikes. Conditions, weather, riding, fans, etc... all completely unhinged.

Couple insights Yeti MT coming very soon. Some shops already have them New Specialized enduro coming. My guess is march/april 2027. Apparently specialized believes it will sell better than the stumpy 15 which was one of there best selling bikes. No clue on design, just being told it’s coming

Completely agree. Someone at some point made the same observation when comparing mountain bikes from 1990 to 2010. Today I would prefer to ride the 2010 bike myself, but 6 year old me wouldn't have compiled enough experience to care as long as the tires weren't flat. Youth E-MTBs are for the parents, not the kids.

@DServy sums it up nicely. I actually rode 3 bikes on this trip, 1 heavily modified enduro bike (XL nomad 6) and 2 dh bikes (L TR11 - L V10), so I got a pretty good chance to directly compare a 175/180 enduro bike to a dh bike. Further helping the comparison, is that WBP is in the worst shape this year for end of July then it has been for the last 6. Overall, I'd say that a DH bike at the bike park is the move. Lots of really cool opinions in here. I have a 21 SJ Evo as my main bike like many, set up full 29 with DH tyres and WAO Union wheels. While that setup really slows it down on the pedals, the air springs (Lyrik + Viv Ult) still keep the bike feeling fairly peppy. The trails closest to home for me (illegal) aren't very long or steep but have lots of sharp, exposed rock and fairly hard compressions so some reliability in the wheelset is a must. It has accompanied me on a few of my annual bike park trips...
