10/18/2025 11:40am I much prefer DC forks for burly enduro trails, lift assisted dh or bike park runs. If the daily uphill ride is over 500m vertical, then I’d rather take another bike or modify the bike for these long, one day epics, w/ a sc fork.

10/17/2025 5:09pm Sketchy they are selling conversion kit axles for inverted forks. But probably fine in a right side up fork.

10/15/2025 3:29pm Tapered steerer to show that it’s a direct 1:1 replacement for a zeb or 38 whatever. I think a lot of people don’t understand the reducer crown race. Agree you don’t need it, and it’s probably worse.

10/15/2025 3:27pm I absolutely love my previous gen boxxer on my pedal bike. I have a 15mm axle conversion and with a direct mount the stem the weight difference to a 38/Zeb is absolutely negligible. Being able to run a longer spring for the same axle to crown is just an added bonus. The super wide top tube of my spire did cause some steering issues while climbing with the short offset crowns but the narrower tubes of my frameworks enduro has been trouble free.

10/15/2025 9:09am I pushed the rock shox product manager to keep the 35mm Boxxer and update with a tapered steerer and 15mm axle for these bikes. Shot down.

10/14/2025 6:36am Holy hell, what a season! So stoked for Jackson to deliver under immense pressure and for Marine to quietly continue kicking ass. Amazing to see Dak at the very pointy end of things and Americans taking 3 of the top 5 spots at MSA!!! It's been the best season for Maxxis that I can remember during my decade and a half with the brand. We had 13 Elite wins out of a possible 20 available and 4 World Champs medals including a podium sweep of the Elite Men's category. Start adding in Junior results and those from enduro and it...

10/9/2025 5:23pm I could see a few benefits - #1 less rigid shock mount will be able to clamp the hardware better, this has been an issue for a number of brands where the frame mount is too stiff so they get chronic bushing wear/looseness problems. Making a thinner welded part could be difficult, especially maintaining alignment so these bolted parts are probably more forgiving. #2 eliminates the "bathtub" under the shock that collects water and mud.

10/7/2025 2:39pm I can't get behind the MRP. Those things folded. Referring to the E13 full polycarbonate bash guard. That combined with the shark fin make way more sense. Racers only got rid of them for weight savings right? We're adding 5lbs of lead weight now but still running exposed alloy chainrings instead of this?

10/7/2025 2:38pm Can somebody tell me why we got away from sandwich style E13 bash guides? I mean...we got real money on the line these days.

10/3/2025 5:46pm All 5 of us (my wife, myself and 3 kids who are now teenagers) all ride together at least once a week. We ride at Kanuga probably once a month together. We all ride ebikes. They allow us to all ride together and turn it into a family event. Without ebikes my family would have never stuck with or enjoyed riding. I don't care what anyone thinks of ebikes, they changed our lives forever.

10/1/2025 5:17pm I'm tired of Cathros childish schtick at this stage. He has always done great analysis but all those stupid cutaway segments just seem foolish and boring. The dude is 37 now. It's a bit pathetic but I guess he does whatever Pinkbike tells him to do He'd be great commentating on races as the current crew seem to have difficulty spotting which riders are on different lines

10/1/2025 9:38am From the pits in Lake Placid today (Pit Bits vid coming in a few hours). What looks like dimples on the stanchion of a Boxxer, I'd assume to reduce friction. Forum expert opinion thoughts?

10/1/2025 9:39am The holes let oil up to the upper bushing… those are already on current 38 boxxer. Someone patented the channel around the bushings. I’m sure fatigue is been calculated and tested. RS didn’t mess around with fatigue. Also curious how they’re making the dimples.
