Maybe the UCI needs to adopt a "if re-run is necessary, the splits completed in the scheduled run before the position of the significant impedence necessitating the rerun will be used." Tough sentence to parse. Meaning the splits before the running baffoon incident from her first ride would be used and then the splits including the impeded split will be taken from the second ride. That would at least not give the rider the significant advantage of a do-over after having had a crash. That way they can't gain as much of an unfair advantage from having ridden the course...

Here's something to think on regarding new format and points awarded? Elite men example: -Points only in Q1 for top 20 ( fastest 50pts/ slowest 5pts) -No points in Q2 -Points in final for top 30 ( fastest 250pts/ slowest 30pts) If you're a rider that consistently finishes 21st - 30th in Q1 and goes 11th-15th in Q2 not only will you never race in a final but you will have 0 points to show for an entire season even though on average you would be considered a top 25 rider in the world. With no points to show after...

I miss the five rider podiums. Also I think Hattie should have got a rerun. Its a no exceptions rule, every racer gets a clear course. If we start playing favorites why even have rules.

i'm sure it did, but why race if the broadcast is going to potentially make the race unfair for all participants? in no way do i think this would be an easy thing to sort out, but just make re-runs completely impossible if they can't be consistently awarded for a significant disruption in the run.

And I am impressed with Oisins result on regular non-mud tyres. He was running Kryptotals front and back on a track that definitely warranted mud or at least intermediate spikes… What a talent

It's even simpler than Richie, but he definitely had the most to gain from the tech. To put it simply, 7 riders finished a single 10th from a better placing. 1/10th of a second from more points, a better result & leap frogging the guy just ahead of them. That's 23% of the field who could have flipped their time with it. It's worth at LEAST that much time on track isn't it?

I know there are a ton of Neko fanboys in here--I'm one of them. But he cannot be left alone in the booth with just Rick. Once Josh left the booth the energy and excitement level just dropped off. I was feeling the lack of energy (towards the latter half of the men's finals), and my wife also made a comment about how the commentary turned very low energy. Neko's commentary itself is great, in terms of knowledge, but Neko is a very chill/cool dude by his nature. He doesn't 'hype' or get fired up like Josh, which is helpful...

Looking at points & timing, she was nine seconds back from 12th place & 3 seconds back from Blewitt in 13th. So if he hadn't been there, she might would have eclipsed Blewitt only. Worth 5 points in the overall. Sucks but doubt the guy hung her up 9 seconds. Finals Points 12th - Bouladou - 44 pts 13th - Blewitt - 40 pts 14th - Harddon - 35 pts

That is true, but Fox wouldn't have all build data on the website listed by serial number if it was still just a RAD project. The inverted Fox fork is going to be released.

Will Fox stop saying it's just a prototype now? Excellent choice going with a 20mm axle for the single crown version. Does this mean the inverted 40 will get another shot?

Considering market issues, it's very smart to have one frame serve multiple disciplines... Lapierre also did that with the Spicy if I remember correctly.

Couldn't that just be indications of tightening direction and torque spec? Fairly common on many linkage bolts across brands.
