Jeez, it's not everyday that something you shot more than 15 years ago gets referenced in a forum thread! The small crash he had on the second shot was literally the second shot we shot that day, and was actually pretty harsh, and almost caused the whole shoot to be cancelled.

Heard the main reason Dak signed with mondraker is cause they are making him a signature handlebar, with 65mm rise and a crossbar.

The team owns that (MS), so it should be staying with them (now MS Intense). MS = Markus Stöckl Racing, they’ve had various title sponsors attached over the years, but the team infrastructure belongs to them.

It's officially official - Dak has joined Mondraker Factory Racing. Video interview and podcast are live now. We recorded this last week, so we will have to cover #frecklegate in the next podcast haha

Must be the time of year to leave the thread I suppose. As every year, Ive enjoyed the daily read, and keeping up with the latest by the die hards in here, so cheers to you all! As I get ready for bed, I know that my excitement for what may be announced tomorrow is going to get me up a bit earlier. It's like one of those wrapped gifts you find a few weeks later that someone forgot to put under the tree....see you tomorrow.......DN!

I second the outside sponsors support. Go back 15-20 years plus and there were quite a few teams sponsored by car brands. GT/Chevrolet, Giant/Toyota, Trek/VW, Mondraker/Suburu, Kona/Ford Focus to name a few. Plus the MTB World Cup series being sponsored by Nissan and Mercedes in the past as well. Kinda surprised it isn't kinda still a thing, as teams and riders all need wheels to move around. Maybe motor brands don't see the value of sponsoring a sport that's unfamiliar to a lot of people and athletes they've never heard of.....something that's quite apparent this side of the pond. Unless...

best thing about the D.Norton hands pic is he had to ask someone else to take it! the conspiracy is growing...pretty soon someone will cave... (or there'll be an announcement the day after tomorrow)

That and the fact he's managed by Martin Whitely and probably didn't have many other options, Frameworks was his best option. If he does well this year maybe he'll get better offers.
