In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

A water bottle *is* a range extender. And it gives you more range than any battery 😜

Pivot riders had some injuries, but they also all underperformed. Didn’t intense have a US based development team run by John Hall? Dante Sylva was with them.

i just wanted to say how much i appreciate the discussion you're all having about this, keeping it thoughtful and caring. whether you're for or against the level of risk, i think it's clear that everyone here cares about the riders first and foremost, and that makes me proud of this community. some care that the riders have the freedom to make their own choices, some care about protecting them from exploitation or going too far. regardless of outlooks, thank you for all the input and experiences and sharing. no matter what, i hope that all the injured riders make...

I think this prototype could be either a new model (maybe they bring back the driver 8 name) or a new nomad. It looks like it could be set up with a dropper and more of an enduro/freeride build. Makes a lot of sense for bike brands to go that way. Would make sense from a marketing stand point for...

We don’t have a team supported by mdk or any team at all… I sincerely wish they would help certain Spanish rider who’s currently privateer and already made it through finals 3 times this year, much better than a lot other people with plenty of resources… someone give Dani a chance!!

I kind of feel this layout might be the next crab. It opens up the space for a water bottle even more than the vertical shock orientation and it stresses the seat tube to a lesser degree, instead loading the top tube which can be bigger/stronger than the usually very defined seat tube.

Also makes it easier to have a straight seat tube with deep insertion. Some vertical crabs out there have to have a weird bend in the seat tube in order to get the rocker main pivot in place.
