Pretty jazzed for Dakota. Some good momentum heading into the start of the season. Can't wait to hear some of those ''Goooooolly'' down world class tracks.

I've been going back and forth on this a lot.. One thing that I think a lot of people are missing is that I don't think Crankworx is a Redbull event like Rampage and Hardline. I was watching pump track this morning and there was no Redbull signage. I rewatched the first few runs from speed and style, same thing. I believe that Redbull is just the broadcast partner. There seems to be a rumor going around that the women did get travel, lodging, and an appearance fee from the organizers. IF this is true, are they wrong to ask...

China definitely doesn't care, but we can decide if we want to buy them.

I don't think it's xenophobia as much as it is that they appear to be a straight rip-off off of Trickstuff. Will be interesting to see if DT Swiss feels the same way (and does something about it).

Dane's time would have been second place in elite cat. The wind/weather got really bad right when elite men started their runs? Conspiracy theory now that Dak punctured his own tire in qualies to get sooner start time for better weather. Don't hate the player hate the game

Tennessee National race results - Dak and Frida PowerCouple victories. Dane Jewett in 17-18 would have been 2nd in Elite. Have a video clip of Asa going down right after a bridge crossing. Word is he went to hospital just to make sure he wasn't concussed but should be ok. UPDATE - we now have a report that Asa is out for 8-12 weeks with a broken iliac crest on his hip (thanks @hogfly for this). From Jack, "as soon as the announcer said pros were starting, an icy, cold wind started blowing up the mountain." Cat 1 Under 18...

This is a terrible take. Both the riders AND Crankworx have acknowledged that talks have been going on for months with no progress. Sometimes you have to utilize the only leverage you have, in this case not showing up to the start line. This clearly wasn’t a hasty decision. Crankworx could have solved this more easily than the riders, why do people blame them and not Crankworx? Also anyone criticizing the athletes in favor of a non-human organization are so wrong and a demonstrate a microcosm of a bigger issue causing major strife in the world right now. Someone else...

While no athlete is ever owed a living by anyone, when (edit: or if) the organisers are making money by selling tickets and advertising, then the competitors are absolutely within their rights to expect appearance fees, IMNSHO. The riders are the singular reason the whole circus exists!

Without the athletes you do not have a show to put on... So ya, they should be paid a base amount to compete, that goes for all professional disciplines where a gate fee is charged to watch the event.

I will reserve all judgement until we get WC level riders on the track cutting it up and digging up roots and rocks. This looks like it has some nice natural sections, steeps, off camber, and will cut up to be an interesting track. People wanted to talk down about Loudonville last year but I think it turned into a pretty good race track that racers were happy with.
