As I have said, no way do the financials add up: to produce a fleet of bikes for a team is more than 100k. Something else is going on. Plus, half these teams realize they will not win it.

With Trek's announcement today, it looks like #2 "Gwin back to Trek" fantasies have come to an end. Perhaps being a part owner of another bike company was a deal breaker. All eyes on you Dan Atherton.

It would be a solid ROI for her and the team. If she put in a couple months of hard work, she could easily be battling for that win pretty early on in the season. Its a pretty incredible incentive honestly, willing to bet the other 3 teams are questioning their investment to go after that prize.

Not to weigh in on signing Mr. Daprela in any way, I'm an attorney and I'd say it's never safe to assume somebody has done their due diligence or sought legal advice until proven otherwise. It'd make my job quite a bit easier if it weren't the case.

I have bikes with both headset types, they all work just fine, and they play no role in my bike decisions.
