7/30/2025 5:56pm I’ve tried digging online and have had little success. Specifically, I am trying to find the thread pitch on the shock body for the Marzocchi Bomber CR rear coil shock. It’s nice to know how much preload each revolution of the shock collar gives. Are all Fox/Marz coil shock the same?

Brook has been through a lot with the recovery from his crash but it's hard to not see the sense of entitlement that he has. It was either in a Downtime or Ride Companion podcast where he was talking about how bad the Mondraker dh bike is (while still being sponsored by them), but he also said that he thinks that he will be a lifetime Redbull sponsored athlete just because he's been with them for 10 years. 7/28/2025 8:49pm Reed is one of my favorite riders, and I think supremely underrated. He has this insane subtle bike control that is easy to miss, but once you see it, some of the minute stuff he does is incredible. Just cm perfect tire placements on in runs and out runs with effortlessness.

There's no prototype rule in MTB. There's no resetting of the clock, the teams are free to run whatever they like

I actually think lubricants or oils are negative these days with modern nipples, specifically DT Pro lock. I think the theory that it stops binding isn't nearly as important as re-tensioning after proper stresses and allow for stretch in the first couple of weeks. In my opinion people do not stress the wheels nearly enough during the initial build. Pro wheelbuilders are now using tools that exert up to 300kg of force through the hub to stress spokes, not many home mechanics are doing anywhere near that.

7/25/2025 8:53am I think you’d be able to see part of the rocker if it was a genuine/normal crab link though. In the last photo you can see the seat tube and the seat stays extending past it, but no sign of a rocker link.

7/25/2025 7:01am Something is different because the current frame has the shock mounted to the middle of the downtube in a horizontal alignment. The picture shown has to have a vertical alignment.

Not to rain on the GM hype parade, but let’s not rewrite history… Back in the ‘08–‘09 mess, GM took a fat bailout – over $50B from the U.S. government. They went full bankruptcy, government owned a chunk, and when all was said and done, taxpayers ate like $11B in losses. Not exactly a heroic brand imo. Ford?
