9/14/2023 5:00pm Dylan stark is a phenomenal rider in certain regards. He can step to very impressive single feature moves (i.e., Moreno Valley). He does not, however, have the refined braking and fine bike control skills necessary for a legit Rampage run. It was evident last year. This whole podcast was a great listen. Sage rode with a pretty serious group of riders but he always had the most pop and the best looking whips. Cool to hear the backstory, especially the history of digging and learning from others. Very cool.

I have not missed your point, but you are clearly missing mine. Troy Lee can choose to support any person for any reason they see fit. That may be because they are a racer or an influencer, it doesn’t matter. There may be a huge population of young people who are not interested in split times, but are interested in their favorite online artist/rider/influencer. That is who this line is made for. Guess what? None of this is about you or for you. And I’m using ‘you’ both personally and as a larger term for 30-45 year old historically stereotypical males of mountain biking, which I assume you largely are. This line of clothing was not designed for you. This marketing campaign wasn’t derived to appeal to you. Not everything within bicycling has to be for you or about you. And when it is not about you, you do not need to respond and complain because it doesn’t fit your view of what should be happening.

Is there anything that gets misappropriated and commercialized more than ‘Rasta’ culture. It is an actual spiritual belief system that has deep roots and important historical significance. Yet alternative sports cultures (bike, ski, snowboard, surf, skate) like to boil it down to a few primary colors, smoking weed, and reggae/Bob Marley. Definitely not my cup of tea, but if you want anodized parts that will inevitably clash with any other color on your bike, good on ya.

Please ask him about Robert Malone. Kyle's situation is tragic, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's been used by the anti-vaccination fringe to spread misinformation. Will you offer a medical doctor a chance to respond to any of the claims Kyle, a bicycle rider, makes regarding public health and vaccines?

Sincerely glad that you're healthy and able to start a return back to the sport and career you love. That doesn't diminish how you've amplified anti-public health views through your association and tacit (sometimes explicit) approval of cranks like Robert Malone and RFK Jr. The notion that you don't have a particular stance isn't supported by the podcasts you've been on and the company you've been keeping since last year.
