Hey guys, who is riding Redbull Rampage this year? How has there not been an announcement yet, when it's only a month away? I just saw Brendan Fairclough's post that he's riding, who else is on the invite list?

Gee is in!
Somebody probably already knows this, but I wonder what Semenuk is doing. The Marquette Lake Superior Rally is on the same day as Rampage.
My bet is he opts for the Rally, but I hope I am wrong!

I would guess he would opt to go to rampage as he has won every round so far in the championship and has 74 points on the next competitor. (Win is 22 points plus 5 for the powerstage)
where Dylan Stark?
The word after last year was that the organizers weren't happy with him "breaking the rules" with the rail that he hid on course then had his builders set up just as he started his run.
It was cool as hell though
Dylan stark is a phenomenal rider in certain regards. He can step to very impressive single feature moves (i.e., Moreno Valley).
He does not, however, have the refined braking and fine bike control skills necessary for a legit Rampage run. It was evident last year. He was tentative and lacked flow across his run compared to everyone else.
This will be unpopular, but he doesn’t deserve to be there (yet).
I remember Dylan’s run better than over half the field. Sure it could’ve been more complete but the bangers were top knotch.
gatekeeping in free ride needs to stop. Dylan has more fans than all but a few guys at rampage. He doesn’t have to win to bring value to the event. His style, creativity, and personal brand is fantastic.
anyone know where they are headed? Is it a new zone or another repeat?
Repeat, same as last year (2022)
Gatekeeping is generally a bad thing. Not inviting someone to Rampage is not gatekeeping, full stop.
The number of fans someone has should play no role in the decision process. If it did, do we invite Seth's Bike Hacks?
Again, Dylan is amazing at fulfilling the niche he's created, but he did not have 'style' at Rampage. A big part style as Rampage is your riding between the few most critical moves. Are you throwing roost and slashing on thin ridge lines? Are you tossing in manuals and nose bonks in your connector sections? Dylan did non of those. He rode slow and timid. The only reason I remember his run is because I was thinking the whole time how it did NOT look like a Rampage run.
Finally, this response isn't meant to be any type of personal attack, I just see this sentiment in many places, and I feel like people aren't truly analyzing his riding critically. By all means be a fan of the dude. He's seems very cool, down to earth, and his edits are generally really fun to watch. He just should not be at Rampage.
How many dudes at rampage are doing tuck no handers on huge features. In between a bunch of guys doing the same backflip variations guys like riddle and stark are a breath of fresh air regardless of their score.
First, like I said originally, he is extremely capable of amazing single feature feats.
Rampage is not a single feature or best trick event.
And backflips are unequivocally more difficult than a tuck no-hander, both in execution and risk.
I agree about Stark's run last year re: flow, but honestly I'd rather watch him in 2023 than Strait or Zink again (sorry guys).
