Another thing that may help give Loic the benefit of the doubt for skipping the ceremonies is if he wanted to seek medical treatment asap so he could make it back in time to see his baby born. perhaps he had his flight already booked and may needed to have made a choice b/w showing up at the podium vs. getting taken care of so he could bounce asap.

10/12/2025 11:33am Mate, ‘hardest’ can have different connotations. Hard as in the chances are slim of ever even doing it and even the smallest drop or slump in performance might mean you’re out of a job. Not hard, as in unenjoyable.

Aye, I had this crash once where I came down on my elbow funny and my arm lost feeling for a couple seconds, but I felt fine straight after and decided I could ride back to the car. I drove home fine, but when I got into bed, I was in absolute agony and I couldn't even sleep because my arm refused to bend. Swelling and injuries are so weird, so is the human brain, sometimes you feel really really good before the reality of your injury sets in.

10/11/2025 6:26am I’d kill to have a daily lift ticket for $60-$80 where I grew up. I can’t ski at my childhood resort when I go home to visit my family because I can’t justify ~$180 minimum (dynamic pricing, often much more) for a ticket.

Does it rhyme with Mariska? If so, I remember talking to their GM in [checks cuneiform tablet] 1998 about developing trails up there. I went for a scouting ride, got chased by a giant owl and never went back. Nice to know my efforts paid off!
