4/15/2024 4:45pm Charlie, there's probably an airbag kit you could use as well. The cheap kind you just inflate with a tire pump, nothing crazy. just helps to mitigate. We used them all the time at 38 with bikes weighed down hella.

4/15/2024 4:44pm I just installed an 1 1/4" hitch receiver and Thule 2-bike tray rack on my 2006 Toyota Matrix. The rear of the car felt a little soft before the hitch receiver was installed, but now it feels a lot softer than the front of the car, it's visibly sagging a little, and the hitch rack drags when I go through steep driveways, even when the car is empty. I use this car as a mini-pickup and pile it with bikes, gear, people, and moving other heavy things around, so having soft rear suspension that drags is not ideal. And I'm...

4/15/2024 8:07am The 2.5" DHR2 has been around the race pits for years as a pro-only tire, so it's exciting to see it finally released to mere mortals like us. The 2.4 DHR is a noticeably smaller casing than any of Maxxis 2.5 tires, which makes it kind of a weird match when you're running one of each. I'm running a 2.5 Assegai up front and a 2.4" DHR2 in the back, so I'd totally buy a 2.5" DHR2 when mine wears out. Of course it doesn't matter much, it's 0.1", but I'm a fanboy and I'd rather have the bigger volume...

4/10/2024 1:07pm I'd compare difficulty of installing fork bushings to that of machining and building an engine block. Sure the local dealer says they can do it. But I would only trust the factory that does it day in day out. It takes LOTS of special tools and gauges to do it right. Get the damper, service the fork. Don't worry about bushings.

4/8/2024 8:33am I don’t know how I rode this thing… 2011 GT Alloy Fury Proto. 1 of 5 made, 3 went to destructive testing, 1 to paint and design and I somehow ended up with the 5th one. It was supposed to go to Marc Beaumont but he declined it due to weight (maybe a little ugliness too). SN read (MD-05)

4/1/2024 9:23am People thought Zaugg had left the company, but what actually happened was designers at Scott hid him by integrating him with his desk in the hopes it would provide his office with a cleaner look.

3/28/2024 9:25am What a depressing set of comments today. Biking is a hobby, people can enjoy it as they wish. Get over yourselves and let people be happy. Complaints about other peoples opinions are not tech rumors.

3/28/2024 9:25am The same people that loose their marbles over 10mm in reach probably check their tire and shock pressure like once a month lol. people shrink probably like 10 mil over the course of a day from when they wake up to when they go to bed. Riding a bike with suspension down a mountain is such a dynamic/changing situation. As long as reach is even remotely close to recommended you’ll be fine.

3/28/2024 9:24am You'd all be better off doing pushups, squats in the gym or actual training drills on the bike than worry about 10mm in reach For a 10mm reach increase on a 1250mm wheelbase (445 chainstays) we're talking about a change in weight bias of 1.81 to 1.83 or or 1.1% so for a 80kg rider an increase of approx 1kg of rider weight on the bars to support. I doubt anyone in a double blind could tell the difference of 10mm reach between bikes. I'd wager you start to notice at 20mm plus

3/24/2024 8:34am And if we loop in 50 posts about how much strain our fingers will endure with Lewis' brake levers, we'll have come full circle. My damper is dampening with excitement.
