Anytime I hear a statistic quoted in a sentence that starts with "Dude, like..." I know its probably not something that actually comes from anything remotely resembling the scientific method. That said, I'm happy to be shown I'm wrong here, so by all means, please go dig up whatever you are basing this on... The one shocker in this thread for me is just how bad many people are at understanding supply, demand, value and broadly speaking, markets. While I am the first to admit that a market is rarely "perfect' its by far the best way to ascribe value...

The only thing stupider than judged mountain bike competitions is this thread. Like, this thread is agressively stupid. I will come out and say that I have always been critical of slopestyle since it’s inception- judged events don’t belong in cycling. I have never watched a slopestyle competition, never will watch a slopestyle competition, and I am deeply skeptical that more than 3 or 4 of the competitors have sponsors that pay them living wages. The bike industry doesn’t have two nickels to rub together right now. These riders aren’t using Ebikes- so they aren’t exactly marketable… Gt/Cannondale recalled 3...

Is that your front forks or.....you know ,the other forks your bike has. The back forks?

To preface this comment, I do count my clicks from closed. That said, I do think it makes more sense to count from open. You would think that the most uninhibited setting would be where you would want to start, but that's just my two cents.

I heard its best to run the Fox 38s and Zebs with full dampening. Also important to add an s to the end of every forks name too (cause why not). Find me at your local blue flow trail this weekend blasting Nickelback from my bluetooth speaker.

Yeti is not and never has been DW. They did all sorts of different things (single pivots, rails, etc.) then went for the bearing executed Switch suspension, developed further to Switch Infinity which uses links. The e-bike and the DH bike use a 6-bar design that is not dissimilar to Switch Infinity in characteristics, called Sixfinity. The XC bike is a single pivot flex stay, as is normal for XC bikes these days... Looks like the suspension system is not worth as much as less weight is. Devinci is Split Pivot (not Horst) like it has been for... How long...

I don't want to stray too far from your point about loading forces as they are certainly a factor, but my factory built Bontranger Line Carbon 30 wheels were 28 J spoke and went just north of a season before they started breaking. I broke four spokes on the rear while pedaling and decided to rebuild both wheels with sapim race and brass nipples. The rebuilt wheels are now on their 3rd season post rebuild without issue and I believe it has more to do with the spoke and nipple choice than the spoke count.
