It's almost like people don't remember the first round of gucci cnc cranks mostly all failing back in the day. If they aren't forged and then cnc'd to make them pretty they'll fail.
Now this is interesting. What do we make of this? They just rolled out the (super underwhelming) Stealth lineup, so these are what? Either a year plus out from release, or they're slotting in a DH-oriented brake more powerful than Codes. Also, anyone know anything about the dropper situation? I thought we'd see a Reverb AXS update, or at least...
The front end and headtube on this bike look just like the front end of the TEMPO, which we know has headset routed cabling. Plus, as the other person said, no port on the headtube/downtube area. This is surely going thru the headset.
Lol no, that embargo date for the SRAM Transmission was set early last fall. If anything TRP should have caught wind and not released on same day. Everyone in industry knew March 21st was end of SRAM's embargo.
There is a dentist who already called his lbs to order one because he can’t wait to stand on his derailleur before the next group ride. with current inflation I really don’t see these as priced any more or less insanely high than original axs or the original top end 12 speed groups. Which have always been released well before the budget tier groups to get maximum returns from impulse buys by people with the money to spend.
I mean, that’s fair for sure too. The way they used to talk about the difference between XX1 and X01 is now the way they’re talking about the difference between XX SL and XX. The XO has definitely been downgraded in some key ways.
When AXS first launched in 2019, the groupset pricing was $1900 for X01 and $2k for XX1. And look, it's a lot of money, no two ways around it. But coming in at $1600 and $2050 with the new stuff, with the way prices have gone up for just about everything over the intervening period is pretty impressive. I'm not...
What a fickle, showy bunch we are, when we lament the purchase of likely the most powerful, blingy, and top rated brakes on the market, simply because there is the possibility of a newer, more obscure brake coming out (that we know nothing about)
On the subject of colour, I’m getting the sense some of this gear (XO, Code Ultimates) is going to come in two colourways, all black and black/silver. I’ve seen the XO crank both ways for sure. I’m stoked for the silver because that’s my “theme” for the next build.
Dang, I still haven’t seen any good shots of the new Code calipers. Miranda posted a vid of her riding her Nomad yesterday from the non drive side; I tried to screenshot it but it was beyond potato. All I could say is that they looked to be silver and kind of chonky. Even that could be wrong tho. What...
Nope. We’re going to keep seeing who can get the most pedantic about human walking speed. Mods, can we rename the thread— Discussion of walking speed vis a vis freak gearing setups. Thanks.
