That it's not for the tech section.

It may not be a "whole separate sport", but there sure is a "whole separate text thread" for the e-bike riders in my friend circle. Now we rarely have big group rides as the crew is split in two and it's a pain to ride laps with both bike types together. So I'd say its a "whole different discipline" of pedaling a rolling thing with your feet.

Motion ratio is the inverse of leverage ratio. The leverage curve is a motion ratio curve or sorts. Besides being a multiplier for force on the wheel vs force on the shock, it's also a multiplier for mm the wheel moves per mm the shock moves.

Not really. Just thought it would be kind of neat.

If only someone made a linkage that allowed a longer shock to to be run on the Levo and it yielded 170 mm of travel. That would be wild.

I did email santacruz once about putting a dual crown on my nomad 6. They said (obviously) that it was officially not supported and stated the frame was more then stiff enough for a dual crown fork, but not reinforced for the fork bumpers hitting the side of the head tube. They did say to officially, un-officially send pictures if i followed through with it, and told me that despite being rad... it would completely void the warranty.

Honestly the extra forces are massive. It has less to do with the fork's axle to crown and much to do with the flex you get out of a single crown. A dual crown will transfer (almost) all of that front to back flex to the frame so the difference is far from subtle. As someone who has broken many frames near the head tube, I won't buy a trail bike that can't take a dual crown. Also as someone who kills CSUs faster than they come off the factory line, I now run a dual crown on my pedal...

They're pretty niche here, but they're priced on par with Santa Cruz and Yeti, and until recently they were hideous. The ibis occasionally comes close to winning Australian bird of the year. I don't think most of us dislike them, they're just flying clowns. I suspect more people dislike magpies or currawongs...

Yeah, I didn't know they'd released an "EVO" model, either. Apparently "We're not releasing an EVO model for this Stumpy, ever" means "We're not releasing an EVO model for this Stumpy anytime in the next 2-4 months."

I do not believe the rumors about chisels and epic evos being done. Specialized straight up lied when they released the stumpy 15, saying they were not going to release an Evo. A rep let slip that they were saving the moniker for “something special” but “official sources” kept saying “oh no no stumpy Evo just a stumpy from here on out.” Obviously that was not the case. Brands are fighting viciously to clear old inventory, and the worst thing that could happen to a 2022 chisel sitting on a sales floor somewhere is news of a new chisel on...
