The weightweenies thread that was linked earlier with the XTR Di2 is now updated with the new XTR brakes as well. Looks nice https://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=171477&start=60

Should this be renamed to "Tech Rumors and Innovation, until a brand asks for posts to be deleted"?

Here’s a rumour: Fox and Rockshox are both working on something new. Bravo kiddo Let’s state the obvious. Is this really the level that we’ve sunk to now.

You’re not posting rumours. You’re just gossiping and stirring. Either post something useful and insightful or don’t bother. The “I’ve got a secret but I’m not telling anyone” is just a bit pathetic and more than childish. It’s fine if you can’t say anything, but if that’s the case just be a adult and shush. This thread is clogged up enough as it is. Lets face it, every major player is working on something so we can all post that quite easily!

Cleaning pistons is good general maintenance and makes a difference in the seal longevity and helps clear up the bores of any material that might lead to corrosion build up, but I'd just go ahead and order one of the aftermarket rebuild kits on Amazon/Ali and swap the pistons and seals out. Then you'll be well able to clean the piston pockets, ensuring less likelihood of corrosion build up. Those kits work well enough and are cost effective, so if you're going to disassemble a caliper you may as well rebuild it with fresh seals and pistons. Air compressor works...

Kiitos AnttiH for your replies. Has anyone tested the effects of fully cleaning the Shimano phenolic pistons? Is using compressed air the safest method to remove the pistons?

I just installed my Radic Kaha brakes. I find that the rear pumps up pretty significantly (10mm). I've bled the brake perfectly to my knowledge, lubed the caliper pistons and tried pressurizing the system from the bleeding edge port etc. Is this due to the small orifices in the lever design or is there something I'm missing out on?
