The WBD has it's positives and negatives compared to RB days. We finally get to see all of the runs for the top 10-15 men and last few women in finals. Which we never ever did with RB. Definitely some terrible camera angles at last year's WC. But also some great ones. They have also provided junior racing free to watch (with full runs for last few racers), again something RB and UCI never bothered to do . Again, just a great time to be a race fan. Ten round WC series and RB with more time/money to invest in...

Just seen Moi Moi Tv. Seriously impressed with Gracey Hemstreet, those final jumps are no joke. Valli's effort following BK was also nuts, considering what is at stake for the season coming. I get very nervous about Louise Ferguson's hair though. A long braid looks dangerous for this sport. If that gets caught on a branch to pull on her head... Big no no.

Brook and Bernard are pretty much the same weight, but thats not super important. There are much heavier riders using production bikes and they can still put some massive strain on it too! There should be more than enough margin for error in these frames that hardline isn't an issue. If it was an ultra light prototype just for racing I could understand but they shouldn't be taking that to hardline if it was, and that was a production frame being used which is not a great sign. This relates to one thing that always bugged me - production bikes...

If the Pivot is the only bike that breaks this week from that drop (which it likely will be at this point), then it's not a good look for Pivot. While hardline is an extreme use case, if all the other brand's bikes hold up, it shows that the Pivot is not as strong. For instance, there are guys like Bulldog, who probably outweighs BK by 30%+, coming off the same drop on his 'cheap' ARI frame and it's holding up. The Pivot frame is VERY light. I believe the lightest weight production frame (by far). I'm assuming Pivot engineers...
