We came to the decision that for this type of helmet-was not the right system. We had it on early protos-but the Athletes did not want it on a competition helmet, very vocal about it. We had a different visor and completely different padding system as well, but the athletes were adamant about the direction we ended up going with.

While not necessary, I remember seeing a Vorsprung-associated test rider saying MegNeg with one spacer on the Megatower was the cat's meow.

Tell me about it. The sense of entitlement, so conveniently displayed by some in this thread, is just one factor that makes this industry such a challenging place to work, especially in marketing. Everyone thinks they're owed something. People can't seem to grasp that this is a business just like anything else. Unless you're a top-tier athlete, who will legitimately help sell product via racing on the world-stage or (some might say more importantly) via a big social media following, you can't expect a company willingly take a loss to pay you to ride your bike and give you free...

To clarify, the Cascade Component link only voids the warranty if the frame fails in relation to it. A customer called and asked SCB, and that's what he was told. Lengthening the rear-center adds enough tire clearance for the travel increase. The fact that it's increasing progression also means its less likely to bottom out with correct spring rates.

Not an employee but I have installed and sold lots of them. They aren't for everyone, but the performance improvement is undeniable. I have got to the point where I only need levers if Im installing them on DD or DH tires, EXO and EXO+ I can install by hand. Removal can be tough for some, again its something I'm used to. You still need to select the right casing for your needs, as they won't do anything for punctures. Sometimes going to a thicker casing by itself is a better choice. I've put them on many WeAreOne rims with...

Cushcore isn't expensive, when you consider the benefits it offers over cheaper imitations such as Rimpact. Its not some spongy foam that fits loosely on the rim, which only offers basic rim protection. Cushcore is more difficult to install because the insert is stretched over the rim to create a sprung effect against the base of the tire. It forces the tire into a shape, so it doesn't roll on the rim, giving you lots of support in high speed scenarios. The foam itself is much more dense, so it can not only protect the rim but also damp vibrations...

Fair play, I don't remember writing this and it hasn't aged well. Pretty damn obvious observation upon rereading. I guess my inner fanboy got caught up in the hype.

Bummer you guys couldn't get the new 2020 to test. They've updated most of their frames with more aggressive geometry, metric shocks, etc. It answers a lot of the concerns you mention.

There should be zero 'requirement' or quota for a team to sponsor any ratio of genders (or any other factor). The only protocol for sponsorship should be a mutual agreement between each racer and the sponsoring company. The company's perceived value of the rider and the rider's desire to sign a contract with said company should be a mutually voluntary contract and nothing more. This isn't Global Premier Football/Soccer, Processional Golf, or the NBA. There isn't an endless bucket of money for teams to throw around, lucrative TV contracts, or stadiums full of fans. Most teams operate on a shoestring...

Well, we do have the most disposable income, theoretically. You'd think someone would want to tap into that What jersey cut is gonna show off my dad-bod best? Who's the best ortho in my city? Who can do a STAT cardiology clearance on race week? Marketing opportunities are endless.
