Vanderhoek selling his Wilson on Instagram. Probably just got his freshie. Not sure if I missed an official release date rumor but it definitely is coming soon.

I was thinking the same. Although maybe he's just preparing for the spring and selling the old Wilson before it's the old model and won't sell. He has the Chainsaw which he obviously rides way more, being a freeride bike instead of an arguably outdated DH bike.

I'm not too sure if he's terribly interested in riding too much freeride style in the next little while anyway. If it wasn't for Devinci's obvious hints I'd say we were reading into a supported rider selling bikes in the fall a bit too much, especially one facing a non-zero recovery from an injury.
I think the Shot airbag system was actually the first one commercially available (mid last year)
I looked it up, astars brought theirs to market at the end of 2025, which would be before the Shot one, but maybe shot had earlier prototypes and took longer to bring it to market since they're smaller.

Anyone have any rumor regarding 2027 130mm Sids? I know we saw that 130mm 32" RS fork on the Van Rysel a few weeks back, and was curious to know if anyone has any ideas on a 130mm 29" option.

I mean he's not catastrophically injured but breaking his nose and getting a concussion, especially as someone in a physical profession, probably means that he'd be avoiding big bike stuff for a little while. Certainly long enough that as a supported rider, he'd be selling the Wilson anyway in favour of a 2027 regardless of whether that 2027 was old or new platform.

I hate this chainsaw is a freeride bike thing. It’s just not. No one wants a high pivot for freeride. It’s a dh bike they made with too little travel.

if free ride is a park rat who doesn’t race it’s probably a pretty fitting bike.
You can think that but it’s not. It’s HUGE for its size run. At 5-10 a medium is way too big for me to have a freeride bike. A very high pivot which is the worst thing for “easy fun” riding. You really gotta be on top of it while hitting trails gaps and jumps and even pumping because the bike changes rear end sizes every time the shock moves. It’s insane how cheep it is compared to other bikes but yet some how I saw more v10s, tr-11, bottle rockets and even demos (yes the 11) than chainsaws at whistler this year.

I’m no pro level rider and I don’t race dh, but I didn’t have any difficulties going from a YT Tues to a GT Fury.

The medium is 461 reach and 426 chainstay. That's not huge by any means.
I'm 5' 10" also and IMO that's actually pretty ideal sizing for someone who wants to rip park laps on A-line all day.
Intense actually worked with Cero since the VPP patent either lapsed or their deal with Santa Cruz ran out.
As for DW the story was that if he didn't sue them, anyone infringing on the DW patent could claim that he didn't go after giant (which used a similar system) thus effectively voiding the patent.
There are a lot of bikes with linkages that look like this, but Giant's design specifically uses a single bolt to mount both the lower link and the lower shock eye.

I also thought the dw patent had some pretty specific anti-squat values, given there are plenty of dual short link designs that came before. (my Schwinn rocket 88 for example)

The m29 and tracer (last gen) both had “cero” on them. I think the carbine did as well? They were all GREAT looking bikes.
Maybe it's a dw, I'm sure weagle has some words regarding giants suspension design.
Wasn’t Giant Maestro ruled ok because the dw-link patent didn’t include the option for the lower shock bolt to be at the location of the lower link’s front mount?
Somehow I always liked the feel of my old 2017 Giant Reign SX on the brakes far better than my old Ibis Ripmo AF. Didn’t hang up as much climbing either. Probably the bike I should’ve kept over the years.
The first airbag for motocross claim is pretty funny. Did they actually have a product before the Alpinestars one?
I don't believe so. Thought it was strange as well. Alpinestar I think is first to moto with an airbag
I think the Shot airbag system was actually the first one commercially available (mid last year)

What is a “non-zero recovery from an injury”?
His injury is chronic? Or?

I don't like coming here anymore

Post up a rumor
Keep it alu, paint it rosso corsa, make the weld bead bigger and you got a winner.
Looks like an iron horse
And an intense has never looked so good

DW Link patent expired a few years ago.

I see what yer saying but I think it looks closer to the KS2 from Banshee.
