Why look for a new helmet sponsor, when you're retired from racing? Wouldn't you use something you already have, regardless of the make?

I'm sure he still has connections that might be willing to help him out a bit...

Spesh Gravity posted some teasing about an announcement tomorrow. Looks like the rider's got a maple leaf on his/her helmet. Any clue? Or did I missed something?

Either something to do with Finn or they've signed another Canadian on Red Bull? Or something else entirely?

It's Finn in the video. Teams have already been announced and they don't have any new riders other than the juniors coming over from Gen S

Tomorrow's announcement is probably just the Alpinestars gear.

That makes more sense

Hoping Finn can return to form this year.

I'd be so stoked to see the Alpinestars airbag systems used in SMX move into MTB. Barcia's crash at A1 to me was just a testament that there's tech that can save lives readily available (for the right price) for downhill mtb. Hopefully this is an entry point for a similar "Alpinestars Medical Team" system into UCI DH.

I sure hope so as well! Would be so rad. I heard rumor of an MTB algo that could be loaded but even if not, I think I will grab one for DH this season. I dig the tech!

Why is it relevant, what bike Tippi gets for free?

Because he's a good dude and people like to see nice things happening to good people.

Alpinestars have been in DH for probably a decade now and already sponsor Mondraker. Pretty sure Spesh Gravity were using their armor for a few season prior to this too, so I don't see much changing. Although I do agree with you that some airbag tests and trials at WC DH would be sick and a good step forward.

Well, he's still a fairly prominent figure in the industry who helps companies sell bikes which helps with sponsorship budgets..

I mean, nothing in this thread is really that relevant in the scheme of things, yet here we are. I know my life isn't changed that spec may have a little half moon of a text logo over their butts this year.

I always loved seeing her ride plus her attitude was always SO positive in a real way.

I'm stoked to see what she does next! I'll be following along with whatever she does like I always do!

Just saw this from Jakob Jewett

https://www.instagram.com/jakobjewett/p/DUoJT1GAQop/?hl=en

I saw this guy win 1199 at Whistler a couple years back beating out both Dak and Luca Shaw but didn't see much of him last season, I guess this explains why. When this guy is on he's up there with the best. Some of the best style out there as well. I hope he can come back from this.

Is te Dr he mentions the same one who fixed Greg Minaar's shoulder?

Begrudgingly: respect to this king of kooks and to the boomer eeb brand with the golf course / hedge fund / discount jeweler name for doing it right…embracing the corny.

Self aware. Appropriately relevant. This is good stuff!

Norco / Brage campaign: this is how you do it.

What was wrong with Norco and Brage's campaign? Brage is a decidedly different vibe than Tippie. Have you ever seen a Brage edit that isn't dark, brooding or have some kind of viking metal?

They nailed it.

Kona has announced their Ride (Factory), Test & Entourage (Ambassadors) riders.

Some fun 90's and early 2000's "retro" vibes with the summer refresh of the Kona website as well https://konaworld.com/

Stoked they signed Fairbrother. If you haven’t followed his epic adventures, it’s worth a look!
