I have a feeling in the next few years we will see a lot of riders like Greenland and Moir step away from competitive riding. If a rider can make more money elsewhere then why not? Only the very best will still be hanging around racing  in their 30s

"If" i said "if" . Why don't you use some discernment?

Commencal 101 is a development team and was only kids until now. They've been on the euro circuit for a while.

Still the same program, Baptiste will be a "Guide Cosmique" ✌️

This is a rumour thread. Why not have fun with it? lol

I don't seriously think he's gonna go to Kona, but ever since the original owners bought it back, I think more than a few people are hoping they go back to their roots and bring back some big bikes. A man can dream, no?

Not one for this thread, but the original owners aren’t the owners anymore, once again.

The soul has gone.

X1 racing seems to be switching on Scott for this season.

They've been -one of many- Commençal nurturing teams so far (the Alrans to say the least), with a strong connection with the muc-off team (Pompon homies).

I guess they had a few opportunities being also linked with Patrice Afflatet, so maybe they will be listed as Scott's development team(?)

Certainly looks like a Scott. X1 have never registered as a UCI team I don't think, always focused on national and regional french stuff. With good success too, so they'll probably keep that focus. With the Ohlins connection, I'm always surprised that they don't ride Specialized tbh.

Some enduro observations from the UCI Teams release I made:

- the new rider Cube was teasing a while ago is William Scheele from Norway

- the only rider registered for enduro at Pivot Factory Racing is Morgane Charre. What happened to Ed Masters?

- there's a new Speed Project team, with Adrien Dailly, Melanie Pugin and Julie Duvert among others

- there are only 5 times with EDR riders registered: Abetone Vittoria, Cube Action Team, Pivot Factory Racing, Speed Project, Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team

Other interesting bits:
- Gunnar Franke from the YT Mob is now manager of the Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team
- Greg Minnaar is on the rider list for NORCO X ADIDAS RACE DIVISION and not the management team.
- YT RACING DEVELOPMENT continues as YT RD

Ghost XC will be Lapierre, still managed from Waldsassen in Germany (=Ghost).

Specialized drops out of EDR/EWS/Enduro.

Almost no (factory) teams there any longer.
Back to good old privateer days or to be dead by the end of 2026.

Perhaps a summary like the one on the other website could be made. I don't know the ethics so I don't want to just take printscreen.

That said: Zero surprises of magnitude. As a Swede I'm bummed Ella Svegby seem to been dropped by Trek without any story to it. She would be in the elites now. Maybe to much of a risk since she hasn't participated in that many races prior to missing last season.

Antoine Rogge, Loris Revelli and Stefano Introzzi seem to be part of a team called Bike Center Cimone. Those three together could be this years equivalent of Rogue racing when we look at the results.

She may want to prioritise the regional downhill cups for a while? Would be happy to see more girls make it from Junior to elite like the boys often do

Looks like Daprela is without a team?  Rogue Racing is Unno now, and he's not listed.  Kinda surprising for a guy that had multiple top 10 finishes last year.  Seems like his prior issues continue to haunt him.

Pivot Factory Racing not a World Series team..

As some of us alluded too a few days ago. The Pivot X Maples deal is already not looking great for Dylan.

We can assume PFR will get a wild card spot at each race. But not ideal to not have that guaranteed spot. Although maybe PFR wanted it that way to save costs?

RE Ed Masters: Pivot HQ likely cut funding going towards racing for 2025. And probably with instructions to get a rider like Dylan, and if the enduro team had to be cut, so be it. Pivot was likely shelling out $150k+ for Ed (salary + travel expenses, etc.).
The team clearly had some substantial budget reductions from 2025 to 2026... Pivot is likely saving well over $250k in salaries and expenses from last year, even with signing Dylan.

I think Dylan is a Top 50 rider (according to whichever batch of points UCI/WBD looks at) so he's in automatically...if I'm understanding their rules, etc. correctly.

well, two riders left Pivot, so maybe the focus can be put towards Maples who could possibly get a ok salary there. But yes, i wish he had got a place at Scott or Frameworks or Commencal.

Find all that BK / pivot hate a bit strange btw. Dude has done a lot for dh mountainbiking since many years and the bike should be good..

Apparently in the paddock, the on camera charm doesn't translate among his peers on circuit.

I have the opposite effect.

Yeah. Dylan can race. But if the team don't get a wild card spot for a race then no semi rig in the pits, no tent, no access for mechanics and all the staff to the event etc... So kinda need that wild card

Every team that requested round by round wild cards last year got them, I can’t see that changing this year so PFR will probably just get a round by round wild card entry. Regardless all their riders can get in under other rules based on rankings etc.

Ella hasn’t raced since 2024 even though she was on the Trek team for 2025.

Her last post (removing the Trek team announcement in early 2025) on social media was October 2024 where she crashed a bunch of times at MSA.

I think it’s more to do with Ella stepping away from racing last year rather than being dropped by Trek.

She posted a picture from the gym on insta some 2-3 months ago simply saying "I'm back" or something similar, no more info. That post was taken down maybe a week before Oisin was announced. I don't remember when was the deadline for teams to register their rosters for 2026, but i get the feeling Trek dropped her not to long ago. Ella being off at a time where team budgets are lean surely aren't to her favour.

Will be interesting to see how the dynamics evolv  with Gwin on the team. Frameworks have always been a tight outfit, but Neko has kept it super chill and free and easy for Asa.

Adding Gwin in to mix will be interesting, he is a serious cat! Will that affect Asa's happy go lucky approach or will it help him to grow?

Also is Gwin just using the pits/frames and running his own thing? Or will he be part of the team, coaching etc?

Despite the above, very solid deal for Gwin, at least he gets to test his speed against a fast youngster with no hidden secrets or set up.

As much as I would love to think it, I doubt Gwin will pushing it at the sharp end.

Gwin is a full part of the team. They approached shared sponsors and combined all budgets to make the finances work. Sounds like Gwin gets paid what he is used to, and Frameworks probably makes out with more budget and even more attention from sponsors and fans now that Gwinner is with them.

I am pretty sure Neko has a good feeling how things are with Gwin.  He would never bring him in to ruin Asa.  I trust he knows what he is doing.
