Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
Just pointing out the obvious. Thank you! I would be lost without you!
Intense Factory Racing has been updated to Nukeproof Axess Racing on British Cycling Website: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/clubpoints?club_id=9861
Their IG has changed as well: https://www.instagram.com/nukeproof_axess_racing/
This should confirm it!
They will most likely be on RockShox too
Actually today, in about 20 minutes!
My guess would be Tarmo Ryynänen since his current team, Simplon Trailblazers, is closing its doors. Silhouette looks a bit like him and Cube works with brands he is already familiar with (Schwalbe, Abus, Fox, …)
It's official! Nukeproof is back between the tapes with Axess Racing:

Cat is finally out of the bag so here is the rest of that shoe pic...
This is what we've been waiting for!
(Did we also establish MS racing is done? Any word on where that's going?)
My hunch is the High Country team is going to Zerode bikes and MS will just be a customer team, buying frames.
I look forward to Jesse having more time to dedicate to trolling all of us nerds.
His former teammate Remi seems to be doing well over at quarter hp.
Hope he's happy with whatever he ends up doing. He legitimately seems like one of the nicest guys in mtb racing.
Yeah thought about it too when I saw the trailblazers instagram post. That would be great.
Gates confirmed the prize for a belt driven win in 2026 according to this article from Pinkbike

i think tristan botteram get's the spot...last season was preddy good for him
Does Jesse leaving full time racing signal the end of the EDR World Cups? Does he know something we don’t and it will stop at the end of 2026?
Not much of a field of riders now and none from
Any big brands.
The end of EDR has been a topic for 2 (1?) years. On the positive side, I can’t imagine RB giving a helmet to a young rider like Simona Kuchyňková yesterday without checking first that EDR will last long enough (at least long enough in order to get something back from it).
Not correlated!
I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.
I like the idea of pitching a bunch of Jesse rumors and seeing if any stick. I've got 2 that are 100% confirmed to be true - I saw his shoe in an instagram post - but you guys can come up fake ones if you'd like.
Jesse Melamed has signed a deal with Velosolutions to open the first downhill pump track in Squamish. It'll be called "Committing Flowelonies" and feature full speed jump lines into flat 180º switchbacks. SORCA intends to add five more "Downie Pumpies" in the next two years in the hopes of hosting an EDR World Cup event.
And he has a signature ebike coming out from Canyon called Canadian Droppings. Its unique suspension kinematic and 200nm motor helps you go faster than ever but it projects a hologram of Jesse dropping you in the first corner of every run. "Ebikes have come a long way and have helped a lot of people feel faster than ever. We wanted to remind them that they're slow dogshit compared to Jesse." - Canyon Product Team
Somebody has hit the egg nog early
Not racer news but, there are rumours that WB are slowly trying to phase out freelance team media and start using their own production crew.
Nah, just a stray couple of thoughts that popped up while I should have been doing some other work stuff.
My brain does WIIIILD shit to distract me from really high-effort projects.
Who has told them they are good at this, let alone better?
So you're saying that we will have Masters category again at EDRs? 🤩
There's a dedicated WB thread. But slight rebuttal. That won't work. And the rumor from the very beginning of WBDs tenure was that they'd heavily limit/control/vet media of the independent type. Which of course has not happened. And if anything there's been even more team and rider media than ever.
So who's still got gear boxes then for next season?
AON Racing - Gamux
Atherton - Atherton
MS - Zerode??
No Intense
Could be a 2-3 horse race, although could possibly only see Hattie winning a race?
Anyone have any ideas want the line up will look like for AON? Is MS gonna be at the races?
I'm surprised we didn't see Rachel take a shot or 2 at it last year..
With Grice Crispy off Specialized, he could be another contender for Frameworks.
Must be really cool for Neko to have the ability to hire his friends and riding buddies for the race team. Though still small, I imagine Frameworks has a work environment and rider support system that is tough to beat. Crucial for US riders traveling and racing in Europe, etc.
off gen-s, but off specialized?
Laurie Greenland off syndacate
