Did that Whiteface/Lake Placid press release list the dates of the race?
I've skimmed 2 pages and not seen it.

I just want a world cup level race in the Mountain West. Lucky that this year we have the Monster Energy DH at Solitude. Gonna race that one!

Great job by Ryan and Alden. Those guys have been putting in the work this winter in Squamish, and it's nice to see it pay off.

Scotty and Casey always put on a great event as well.

While USDH does kinda rule. I don't think there is that many french administrators involved with World Cups these days.

And of course all of our domestic DH races are bought and paid for UCI official via USAC.

Love seeing 10 of the top 20 being BC. For us not having a real strong DH race series here in BC we have certainly putting out a strong crew of racers.

with poland in a few weeks, i need clarification on who could actually be racing

- riders on the listed sanctioned teams

- riders on the the 4 wild card teams announced

- riders that earned spots via a 2025 continental series race result (forget what they are...like top 3?)

- riders not in any of the above situations but gained entry through some kind of national federation application and UCI approval.

is that accurate? am i missing anything?

On part 2 of the Moving the Needle podcast, Gwin said he plans to do seven of the ten rounds UCI races, my guess he's got some plan worked out with the UCI where he can rock up to any race he wants. It also sounded like he didnt even apply for full team status since it required a rider to race at every event and the schedule has a lot of awkward week on-week off breaks that meant he'd need to stay in Europe for the vast majority of the summer, and he didnt want to do that. Last takeaway, he said the UCI approached him about commentating but he's set on racing, and the UCI has a new guy that "people should be pretty excited about."

Can't wait for Poland!!

It’s top 5 for the golden tickets but it’s riders choice on which event they go to. They might not use it for the first race

One of the most active DH podcasters in the game could be a good pick for the next Warner Bros World Cup DH Analyst position 😏#commentatorrumors

Riders UCI ranked in the top 50. Junior riders ranked in the top 100

The person your referring to may have commentary experience with Crankworx in the past but that doesn't mean he brings the necessary excitement required.

Ratboy or Wyn masters is the kind of personality needed

Assuming it's Neethling. Which is a shame. Nice guy I imagine, but I really disliked the "falseness" of his CWX commentary.

Why does it need to be somebody to add colour to the commentary? That didn't go down very well with CG.

If we were looking at safer options and it was Chris Hall from Downtime, I'd be happy with that. As an analyst Chris Kilmurray would be fantastic, but he may be busy during the race weekend.

Wyn masters would be perfect. Experience, knowledge, fun, seems to know and get on with all the riders.

There are actually 8 wildcard team spots per race. But only 5 of them are filled for Poland WC1. But looking at the XC announcement the full 8 were filled. So seems, kinda like the Gwin racing case, some DH teams are gonna pick and choose their races?

All good guesses!  But none are who I was referring to... I would keep giving hints but if I go any further than the first one it would be too obvious 🧐.  Only three more weeks until we find out for certain.

Kilmurray would be really good as an analyst!  I didn't think about him.

Peter Graves is still alive, and still doing ski race commentary sometimes.

No offense to all the ex- racers with podcasts, but what the worldcup broadcast actually needs is a professional announcer…

I realized I have HBO just in time to watch Araxa the last few weeks. WBD’s crew of never-have raced faces is cringeworthy bad… at least give us someone with gravitas who can proclaim in stentorian tones.  They don’t need to even ride a bike… just give us someone who makes me smile instead of cringe.

I agree Mickey, the broadcast is missing an experienced presenter and it shows.  How many times did Rick say Araxa?!?!  That was excessive, lol.
