Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,

another thing that has come up is spectator and media access to the course. on some sections, the brush is too thick to walk anywhere but the track, apparently. not sure how it's all going to play out, but only options to access the track were walking on the track. hiking it in the rain may be scarier than riding it LOL

Looks like the track (DH) has been taped very wide, and it's very steep. It will also cut in a lot as there are lots of fresh sections. It looks nothing like the previews However if there is a track you don't want to ride in the wet it might be this one 😆. Keen to see the racing.
I'm looking forward to a wet, slick race. Those off-cambers in the grass will be spicy! As long as the conditions stay equivalent for all the riders, then bring on the weirdness.

youth gone wild jr practice from today
That track is gonna be wild even without rain, some of the cambers must be pretty much unridable in the wet...
raw from today (elites, shows some lower sections of track). off-camber in rain? fuggetaboudit
Track looks sick, and rider feedback seems really positive so far. Also looks more technical to ride quickly and lower risk compared to many tracks- should be a sick race.
Looks bonkers and lol at Dak's whoop at 5:16
I saw this question on the RAW YT video and don't know the answer. Anyone know?
"Question: In a race or during qualifying, if a rider has a minor crash and gets back on his bike but the rider after him is going to overtake him, what's the policy? Do the race officials flag the first rider and make him pull over to yield to the faster rider? If not, can the faster rider appeal and request a re-run?"

I was hoping someone would do this since the first course preview a couple months ago, hopefully it’s actually faster. 😎
For those w/out Insta it's Thomas Estaque gapping from the lip after the top whoops onto the grassy piste, looks gnarly!
I believe the crashed rider is supposed to yield same as if they were caught by a faster rider. If they don’t then the second rider could make a case for a re-run.
that's so nuts! that FMB (f-me bump) looks gross and he's in the air for a minute!
on a steep track like this, is being a big rider a disadvantage? i know, the best are the best, no matter what their size, but, stopping/slowing down seems like a lot more work for the minnaar's of the world. maybe they'd make up for it at the top carrying momentum through the flats better?
Thanks for that reply.
Here's what one of the replies on the video said:
" I've worked as a marshal a few times. In such a case we didn't let them consciously overtake, we radioed the starting number of the faster, running up racer and he got a new start from the race control."
Another said:
"Also worth mentioning, the slower rider usually knows they're at risk of being overtaken, and they can choose to pull-over and allow the faster rider to pass. Probably more common amateur racing, less common at a world-cup level."
Also more leverage for weighting the bike accurately with long legs. Longer wheelbase for stability.
with bikes it really just comes down to how you ride a bike. I think Greg can potentially be very good on this course. But so will Jackson and they are on polar opposites of the size spectrum. But i really like loic and loris for their ability to ride safely with a level of commitment most just don’t have.
is Reese there? If it gets wet this is his track for sure.
In the latest Dialed episode, Theo mentions Vital Raw as a training tool! Apparently if it's out fresh enough it's of use in almost real time. Some Vital Raw with bacon and a cappuccino please. And off to practice!
This track walk has got me so excited for this race. Those steep widely taped sections!
Please for the love of bikes down screw this one up Discovery!

How is it possible to be this at ease...? [mindblownemoji]
I can’t believe his mom lets him ride that fast. Unreal speed.
He’s a freak- he’s definitely taking a page out of Jesse’s book on the chat heavy course previews and I’m down for it. Kinda mad he can chat so easily though.
4 minutes. He actually skipped jumping 3 things I saw him jump in other videos from yesterday. He was scoping lines WHILE chatting.
Ronan ate it HARD trying to do that
