If he goes to Specialized, is he going to keep Maxxis and Fox? And after all that effort getting the fit of the new Yeti jersey just right. Not too loose, but not too tight

I remember in a interview on vital that Troy said he wasn't riding ohlins yet.wouldn't surprise me if troy Mitch and Jared all ride their stuff. Ohlins has a single crown and double crown fork coil and air shock but no top racers.

Attache to the gondola was a Cube and a yellow high pivot point bike...

High pivot point lover here. Do good.
Bernard Kerr is there so he should be with the pivot bike.
A bike that is using a high pivot point uspension design, not a bike made by Pivot.
(By that, I meant that it was a Commencal)
Oh, and I'm pretty sure I saw Matt Walker on a Cube? If that's the case, it's awesome to see a privateer getting a spot in a factory team

I don't understand why people get bummed when a rider leaves a sponsor.

Perhaps the Rude Boy has been hinting that he'll be racing a mix of EWS and world cup downhill, as opposed to switching wholesale back to DH? Win 'em both Richie!

Specialized must be digging deep if they're paying Jared to run all their kit (or at least helmet) as well as the frame. Curtis looks to be wearing the same helmet too, so I guess they're maybe going down the same route Troy went last year with all Spesh gear.

Personally this is the way i think they'll do it; with the amount of kit Troy has been rocking the last season they're obviously positioning themselves for a big push into apparel- kit, protection, helmets.

Paying guys like Troy, Jared and Curtis the money they will regain from not having to pay Gwin, to rep their own branded gear and equipment would be much more beneficial to Specialized than paying Gwin to win on a bike thats already been proven to win in competitors kit.

I know Gwin wins, but he's out for himself and thats fine for him creating his perfect setup, but from a company standpoint id be ditching him as soon as the world cup was over. He's proved the bike can win, now let guys who are willing to rep my brand take over.

just my opinion

Love or hate them, anyone who has ever tried Specialized gloves, helmets, shoes, shorts, etc.. know how great their riding gear is.

2016 is going to be interesting.

I know I'm kind of a dick for saying this but I'm surprised the big S and RedBull has kept Keene. He's a badass for sure but being a badass without more banger results doesn't usually cut it in the hyper-competitive mountain bike world. Besides his Whistler performance he's been the rider with all the potential but not much to show for it...

Yep, it's the Ambush - and to think I took flak for wearing the visor up in our review! Check out Graves and Keene, I rest my case...

I kind of agree. Maybe he has 1 more year on his contract and Spec thinks that with graves as a training partner with real enduro focus he will be better?

Keene is a phenomenal rider, but there are all lot of great riders in the EWS and usually a company like big S wouldn't pay for Keene's results unless it was a young, up and coming rider...

I guess it's just because it's goggle compatible in the best way possible (unlike other helmets). Acadian is quite right though, I'm a big S hater but have found myself rocking gloves and bibs from specialized and they're pretty good

He is probably under contract still i am guessing. But i think having Jared will help elevate and push Keene. Keene has never had anyone to really push him. I say this will be a make ore break year for Curtis.

I agree with both of you. It's not that he sucks. On the contrary...he's within the top 20 usually. But this is the largest bike company in the world. So, they only have one objective: #1 and the rest are losers. Maybe they were trying to breed a #1 and it didn't pan out. Happens in the sports world. But maybe Jared will teach him the mental edge to dig into the pain locker. Doubtful though. You either got it or you don't.

It's kind of funny to watch Spesh continually buy the best then have them underperform. I take enjoyment in that in a sick perverse way. I'm always rooting for the lesser knowns to win.
