Irony at the end being that privateers would have the hardest time affording Roll Offs for their goggles if they did away with Tear Offs. Fantastic article none the less.

Is it not even relevant if air escapes or not? The guage is a guide to get you to your sag number, then you fine-tune adjust based on riding feel and what you want. If the amount of air escaping or not escaping is consistent, the result should be the same. I would even venture that all guages are not equal as well. Regardless, I prefer to know that air is not escaping and do the air hose preload trick. Awesome video! So well done. The significant other "listening" had us rolling.

The world cup circuit is a very cohesive bunch, and while team riders are always priority, it's not uncommon for mechanics/team staff to help out privateers, whether by giving away parts or helping out with tinkering on the rig. Everyone is passionate about racing, so when a privateer is killing it all season you'll see a lot of people helping out where they can to keep him in between the tape.

9/5/2019 2:31pm Man, if you listen to Cathro's track walk, there is stoke about it. You watch Wyn's and all they talk about is whining about pedaling. What? The 2 sprints are short and you're still hauling ass into them. And it's gonna be dry. Kinda wish it would rain and turn it into the bog Peaty mentions that he had to run through to win in 2001.

I've lived in Belgium, where the longest downhill is about 45 seconds of flat-ish trails, with very few trails to choose from, and I've lived in Queenstown where I got to ride the bike park every single day for 8 months of the year (+ amazing trail riding the other 4 months). I'm convinced that areas with limited riding breed better riders, since you're bound to end up riding the same (sections of) trails over and over and over again, and it's much easier to improve than if you were riding 10 different trails in one day. It's the age...

I have no idea how Brendan, Josh, Bernard, Danny, etc, etc can learn all their skills in the woods of England. He was talking about accessibility of the sport, but nobody does more than those guys by showing how just messing about in the woods can lead to professional careers. Love watching their 'Slice of Pie' segments and bits of GMBN, etc.

My cousins & their dad (my great uncle) have worked for NASCAR & their race teams for decades. 1 cousin got his feet wet being the "tire ferry". They handed him the hot used tires across the wall & he had to stab the tire with a puncturing thermometer to check the internal temps & record them.

There's pictures of the BB part of their frame on the Pinkbike press release which might help you make a guess.. https://ep1.pinkbike.org/p6pb16797866/p6pb16797866.jpg If you look at the bikes they've been on over the years, it's pretty much always been some slight variation of a single pivot (Commencal, GT Fury, Trek Session getting rid of the Full Floater setup,...), so I wouldn't be too surprised if they came up with a similar thing. If it ain't broke...

They got fired. Rachel didn't show up to a regional event she was co-hosting with Hope, they then later found out she skipped out to go riding with her brothers so Hope terminated them.
