Possibly to get around the i-Track patents (they patented idler pulleys on suspension linkages, except on swingarms, so single pivots are OK)?

Than chain will look extremely close to chainstay in the lower gears, i expect a loud bike

Seems like a good idea; Trek and Devinci already have current or upcoming models with a 'high split pivot' design, so patent-wise it probably works.

Patents are not a problem with dual short links and/or Horst links, if you put the idler on the front triangle. Interestingly the Range and the Fury seem to have the idler concentric with the main pivot, so considering the idler is not moving, I'd say this makes it 'front triangle mounted', even though it is technically mounted to the chainstay... The new Supreme (proto) does have the idler frame mounted.

I'm drawing a blank for any other non-single pivot, but high pivot bikes at the moment to be able to add more examples. As noted, single pivots (Supreme, Druid, Dreadnought, split pivot bikes) are not a problem, as single pivots are not covered by the patent, as far as I'm aware.

It seems that this "journalist" didn't even bother taking 5min to check GT current offering. The Force got 29er wheels 2 years ago and the 27.5 version jas been discontinued since this year ... but yeah the Force finally got the 29er treatment ...

Considering that should be the damper side it's more likely it's their version of live valve and not an updated shockwiz

Looks like SRAM are working on a new Shockwiz-type suspension analysis device. They've figured out a way to package the system much smaller, so everything (battery, sensor, circuit boards, antenna, etc.) fits inside the top cap. It should be a nice looking package that'll be less susceptible to damage.

I’d assume they have essentially replaced dials with motors controlled by a computer or two. Realistically You could go thru presets and change everything besides air pressure and tokens. Probably could even fanagle a way to change progressiveness too. Seems like a way simpler and more usable tool than anything using ai.

The FCC embargo elapsed a few weeks ago, can't be too long before this gets released. Unless they wait until April to stay in line with their usual product releases
I would say they will wait until April for big release. They have updated dampers, air springs and air release buttons on the lowers coming aswell

It's been a thing for 20 years since Cannondale came out with the electric lockout lefty/headshock. It's just gotten better.
