$15k for the Sworks?!?! And $13k for the expert?!? I’m all for E bikes but I’d personally buy a nice mid range trail bike and a moto for the same amount.

Yeah it is honestly pretty absurd but according to their website the 13k model is sold out in every size already so the market will currently support it. It is insane but reality. I am personally kind of bummed it wasn't the new Kenevo. Not that I would buy one but I just wanted to see it.
This pic looks like there may be front and rear specific versions of this tire. Larger and wider spaced blocks on this picture.

Think that is a Kaiser going by the braking knobs.
Deffo not a Kaiser. There is a new DH tire/s coming, and it´s about time they finally add something new to their DH range of two tires out of which 1 no one really buys.

Regarding the new Levo - I see a whole lot of marketing but very little tech. What's the big deal? They went mullet. They stole forestals idea for an integrated display and made it work faster. Maybe the software that controls the power output is something really new. Nice - questions the whole idea of eBike racing - Muhahaha. Not that it wasn't senseless in the first place.

Yeah nothing majorly new I just think they have arrived at the best package on the market: very good and customisable geometry, huge battery, relatively light weight for it's class, visually very nice, most testers seem to love the brose motor.
The price is completely bonkers of course, but i also hope they worked on their reliability, a good few people I know with older kenevo's had frequent hub issues and some motor replacements.
I'm still blown away by how much of a good deal my 4.3k Commencal ebike was just 3 years ago, most brands are asking for twice the price today for similar equipment. (and weirdly my salary hasnt doubled in 3 years...)

You just wait until that Kenevo drops . That sworks levo is chump change.
As for the motor reliability, Specialized couldn't do much about it, it's a Brose thing...
Yes, all the prices will rise over the next year.
Inflation in usd is coming, as you can see all the major natural resources are point up. Just saw a chart of steel prices looking lika a bitcoin chart. I know this has Nothing to do with bike tech rumors, but this will affect us in biking as well. It was mentioned in the last insider Line with Push, for reference.

None of the 2021 is payed now, the r&d and orders are prepaid since 2020 when all of the bike manufactures made a chunk of cash and now their still making it relaying on the “expensive transport and raw materials”... “bulls**t”....marketing.
We may see some price decreases if shipping prices return to somewhere near pre-covid prices.. But, raw materials rarely come back down.. Unless the demand for certain items significantly drops..
"The prices rise because of raw materials and shipping". Yes. Yes it is. Because the supply is not calibrated to the demand. So raw materials suppliers and shipment suppliers are rising their price. That's what MTB brands are saying, and that's true.
But because the MTB supply is far bigger than the current offer, the brands themselves are increasing their prices because they can.
I am clearly not an economist, and my thinking is certainly too much basic, but I am certain I touch the reality.
So, either the supply dramatically decreases so the prices will decrease, either... either not. From my point of view, that's it.
I don’t think brands want to raise prices but they do want the same margins and the consumer is ready to eat the difference
That's what most people don't understand.. These price increases don't mean the shop or the bike companies are making more money.. They need to make a certain amount of money to stay in business.
Hell, last week I had some kids bikes that the MSRP went up $10.. My cost went up by $11.. So, that price increase was actually a small loss for us..
Look at it from this angle, here in Australia, Covid thankfully didn't really shit in our cornflakes like the rest of the world as far as financially and lives lost. But we cannot travel internationally.
So you have a bunch of people, working from home, saving god knows how much by not commuting and going to Bali for the 8th time this year. They need to blow that disposable cash on something.
Any toy, be it a Dirtbike, performance car, caravan/caper and especially Bicycles are getting snapped up for the most insane prices. Some of the Facebook buy/sell pages I'm on astound me with the prices put up and people swooping in to grab it thanks to the supply chain interruptions.
We are living in a bizzaro world at the moment. Enjoy the ride!
Giants trance live valve top of line shimano wireless model will give dentists one hell of a boner till his buddy rolls thru with a pivot ebike with the same spec.

Doddy says that the AXS reveal is tomorrow and the Shimano release is coming up very soon.
