Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
They could throw some money at an actual lift at WindRock Bike Park just as long as Sean retains ownership.
Run it further up the mountain than the current peak & that would be the mega-park.
Coal Creek OHV wouldn't mind in the slightest.
That would be really nice for sure. The rumor is that this is the project they're currently eyeing to bring in World Champs in the future. 5 lifts proposed.

Will they host masters worlds beforehand? I’ll buy a DH bike and plane ticket today if that’s the case.
Always dreamed about tomahawking myself down that track.
not sure if I read it here or if someone told me at Snowshoe, but someone said something about it having to do with hosting the 2024 Marathon World's and wanting to give them center stage? Which could leave it open for a return to the WC tour in 2025? Hopefully? I'd love to here Loris bitch about east coast riding some more.
Not accurate. Plus none of the teams like going there and the track is sub par at best. Lodging was twice as expensive as Lenzerheide which was ridiculous because the rental houses are really run down.
Masters worlds will be in Australia for 2024 and 2025, 2026/27 on Chile.
2024 Champery will host the european championship
Champerey?

Paging @buckoW to the white courtesy phone?
Ben Walker to the white courtesy phone please!
SPIDER CRAWLER EXCAVATOR OPERATIONS CREW - ACTIVATE:
Ben has the high res version of this somewhere from Champery and/or Morgins, but for some reason...not on his IG!!!!
I don't get the hate for Snowshoe, it was one of my favorite tracks to watch this year except for MSA. I get that it is flat compared to europe, but I thought it was quite exciting and looked like a blast to ride. Disappointed it is not there next year as I was considering going after falling in love with downhill racing this year.
I like the racing at snowshoe it’s not super steep but still makes for great racing.
I can’t remember for sure but I think 3 years ago fees where around 300k to put on an event and I’m sure they have gone up from there.
Does 300k include the necessary bribes?
How did they fix the issue with the land ownership after the bottom road intersection? The one where the currently rideable track ends.
I take it it will still be inaccessible for us mere mortals who arent keen on racing IXS cups?
Odd how all the team’s videos I saw had nothing but good things to say.
XCO -> Crans Montana
Enduro -> Aletscharena
DH -> these are all venues for the 2025 world champs? Is Haute Savoie definitely Les Gets as the DH Venue? Champery is literally across the other side of Avoriaz.
Come race European Champs next year! I think you should build another DH bike though.
The other alternative in Haute Savoie is Chatel.. Champery lies on the other side of the border ; )
Morgins, les crosets and Champery is part of dents du midi, but still belongs to Portes Du Soleil. Yes Champery belongs to Switzerland, but would love to see the WC there…
Chatel has unfortunately no DH Race track and to create a new one for one year and World champs next year in Champery highly unlikely.
Dan Atherton in Tasmania...
Could maybe tie in with the whole thing around the potential red bull race series, considering dans hardline/dyfi bike park building experience
very recent DH french cups raced in Chatel, even this year..
That's because some people struggle to understand its "world" cup which should feature tracks, terrains, and riding styles from around the world. Every track shouldn't be your favorite. It should be a challenge to adapt. They are pros.
I personally can't relate to the big alpine tracks. I grew up riding east coast rocks and roots.
Imagine there exists a webpage about 2025 WC with all the available information, like that DH will be indeed raced in Champery. Home - EN (valais2025.ch)
I'm also interested in how they solved the problem in the lower part of the track and if it will be now completely rideable during the summer season because that road is not really fantastic. Also loved they got the army to dig the track
Maybe that is why I liked it so much, it is more relatable. I did not really grow up riding that terrain, but it is the terrain I am drawn to.
a second hardline event in tasmania (in jan, i think) was posted on the redbull media page. they've since removed the details:

Mandatory military service. Where's the salute emoji when you need it?
@Karabuka I've been given a finish line pic. Waiting for permission to share.
We raced there this season. V much DH tracks.
Hardline Tasmania is the weekend of the 24th and 25th. Fits in perfectly after Thredbo Cannonball that runs 12th-17th of Feb for a number of international and Antipodean riders and teams who will also likley do testing/training in NZ over the Southern Summer.
Maydena showed interest in hosting World Cup events in 2024 but where asked to focus on 2025. Traditionally the EWS/EDR made a visit to Australia/NZ every two years so this request makes sense.
Champrey 2024 finish troll pic:
you are mostly right, but there is more to it. the scale Morzine/Les gets events get local government endorsement (not necessary money) is huge.. and the WC does not paralyze the town.. hardly... everythiing continues, perhaps accomodation gets tricky, but capacity is huuuge (les gets, morzine, montriond, avoriaz, chatel).. so, no problem.. these towns get 2-3 events per summer that really disturb way more than MTB WC (harley davidson week, rally, TDF, spartan races) ; ). summary is they survive without them but the additional revenue from tourism into the town (not organizers) is what is looked for by the locals authorities.
