Why would you want your steering elements to be moist? I think the word you're looking for is "damping".

Gents, Wonder if you’re interested in moving this pissing match to another thread, I couldn’t care less about your thoughts on which you believe is easier or harder to ride. Keep your feelings somewhere else please. I am interested in more info on that updated Boxxxer I keep seeing…you know, new tech and such Also, the updated Zeb, buttercups and all that, when will we see those forks on bikes? Got a 22 Spire coming, and it would be cool if it was the the newest and greatest gadget

This, a hundred percent. I'd like to know more about Magnus Manson running his Dreadnaught in Lourdes with 180mm of rear travel. Has anyone actually confirmed that the Cascade link for the Druid also works on the enduro sled to up the travel?

I’ve had a few of their iPhone cases. They seem to be the first slimline cases I’ve tried that are destructive toddler proof and don’t look like some industrial ‘ruggedised’ adventure case.

Those tires honestly do look pretty sweet. I was trying very hard to get the wild enduro's but the front sticky was out of stock everywhere and I'm stupid and want to be matchy matchyfront to back. I looked at the specilized tires but after weeks of internal struggle I ended up with DHR/DHF again. I forget how damn good that combo is until I get a fresh set and think how dumb I would be to want to stray from that. This is all a completely useless point to what I'm getting at though. I have been surprised that...

Neko.... doing what we all wished all company's did and feeding the bike nerds proper. He's doing what we already want in the forum and giving it to us right to the veins. Thank you sir, you're doing it right.

Based on my observation, the biggest influences on stanchion wear have been skipping regular service and dropping your bike on rocks. Loading your bike into the car in a hurry is a good one, too. Stanchion color is pretty low on that list.

I actually prefer the blacked out look of the performance elite. The kashima is gaudy in my eyes and the fact that the colour is never the same between the fork and shock kills my OCD.

I think to 90% of riders out there, the stanchion coating will not be noticable. Get more performance elsewhere for the few hundred less performance elite is.

I want their black not Kashima as it doesn’t match any other colours on any of the bikes I’ve had in the past. And I certainly don’t want orange lowers. Also I’ve never noticed any performance benefits with the Kashima ones (not at my level of riding)

That's what an Intense should be. A raw prototype then polished and a couple of stickers added for the market version.

Yeah thats a good point about the elastomers. I definitely like the idea of more comfort but I don't think the Buttercups are the best solution. I do like the idea of easier servicing though and I haven't been impressed with the current charger damper. I'm no engineer and I don't quite understand what makes a good damper but I feel like both fox and rockshox have fallen a little short of the mark. And as for marzocchi the old ones seem to have it somewhat right. Personally I like the idea of an open bath damper a lot more...

Road bikes generally are below the weight limit pretty easily, so I'm guessing there isn't much of a weight penalty compared to other bikes. The dropper didn't do anything bad for him, no doubts about that, but when it comes to Mohorič, it's the guy that makes the difference. He's just mental. And supposedly the team has been preparing for this exact race for the whole of winter, likely because the course fit Mohorič well? Regarding the dropper, jokes are flying around that UCI is rewriting the rules banning them already :D
