Be so cool to see an Evil DH bike again. When Evil first launched with the Revolt in alloy I think they had quite a few warranty frames. They replaced all or nearly all. Not sure if material, fabrication, heat treating or what, but I remember a lot of them breaking. That was like 15 years ago, if not longer. Really cool video, unclear if it’s Pinkbike or Charlie doing it by himself but It’s awesome to see the impact a World Cup can have on the local scene.

I think the course looks great. Natural, off camber, multiple lines in the trees. I think it'll break down and cut up great. As others have said, I like to see some janky slow speed corners that will seperate the riders instead of bike park berms. A new venue in a new corner of the world. This is what I was hoping to see. Looking forward to seeing some of the practice footage

Dang then those woods sections are going to be slow and tricky. I like it. I was just guessing based on the video being 6 minutes and half of it being no riding and the riders pace being slow. Big fan of the lower speed technical tracks.

You must be new to the sport if you think DH bike sales and race team budgets are related. DH racing will be around for a long while yet. And it's already been through plenty of ups and downs. Some bigger than others

DH is already mostly racing and that won't become electric any time soon. DH teams and bike development is basically marketing budget already.

Saw the new sixfinity yeti pedal bikes out on the trail yesterday. My guess is they weren’t ridden by yeti employee’s and maybe some shop riders as one of them had a shop jersey on. Makes a good chance they are coming sometime 2026. They Look super clean

I get that! There isn’t a lot of those automotive shops in Switzerland so my view is a bit biased. I use Bionol from Trickstuff for all Mineral-Oil Brakes (literally almost can’t get out of date), never had any issues. Some DOT systems tend to need a bleed every couple of rides, at least that’s my experience. If you don’t bleed brakes yourself, that’s pretty annoying. Having worked at multiple Bike-Shops and now working for a manufacturer, the picture is definitely „hands-off“ everything DOT related. Thanks for elaborating. Will echo what DontWorryImAPilot said. The SI linkages gets all this internet trash talk. I have a SB160 that requires far less maintenance than my 2 prior Forbidden's did for reference. I appreciate that the SI is a contained system that can be easily replaced and I have 100% confidence that my shop would get me a warranty replacement if anything went array. That said, my 160 is 2yrs old and the SI has no objective signs of wear. It's my favorite bike of all time.. I would be much more skeptical that the 6bar wouldn't need a full rebuild...

Wishes for 2026: Looking to buy a light trail bike in coming months so hopefully one of those 3 happens: New SC Tallboy gen6, hoping for frame weight under 6lbs / 2700g, travel increase to 140mm front /130mm rear wouldn't bother me too much but would prefer it to stay at 130/120mm Yeti SB120 with sixfinity suspension, I have no interest at all for their switch infinity system that require proprietary bearings and frequent maintenance.
