Just like the early 29ers... long ass CS, which never really found favor with the long time hardcore riders until the front end stretched out to balance them out

The mental gymnastics to test the logic that a bike with a motor extends the limits of bicycle components, which others seemingly claim to push to their limits without a motor... I have little patience for how long it takes people to disprove these stupid generalizations. Also, finding that 4x4 and moto trails can be fun to ride... should be a duh, but I guess those climbs that go straight up the hill, without a smooth line at all, intimidated mtn bikers.

Interesting to see all the different interpretations of "maxed", "no holds barred", and "dream" bike builds. Quite some diverse interpretations. Would be boring if everyone picked the same parts. Good contrast to that Revel one I saw with Intend fork and shock.

How many miles you have on your Hellkat? I had an amazing first 300 miles on mine, able to ride trails without touching the brakes, taking corners all hotter than usual, but the grip fell off suddenly. I took it to a bike park and the knobs got trashed. Disappointing compared to the longevity and consistency of Maxxis.

It made so much sense that I wondered why more didn't optimize their bikes this way, rather than just spec'ing travel and wheel size or whatever. Some sort of do it for 29+, fatbikes, gravel, XC, marathon road, touring, etc. I decided to make a custom one designed...

A friend sent out a link to Florian Nicolai's amazing nose pivot during the Finale Ligure stop on the 2014 EWS. I'm looking for more information about it; is there a longer video floating around showing more of his run? I'd like to see how other riders handled the same turn for perspective because Florian's trick is video game mode. I like the used market... I like high quality stuff, like heirloom-level stuff, rather than disposable designs. I don't have any compelling personal need to be on the cutting edge. I just have curiosity, and used fits my budget. As much as I'd like to ride a Enduro 2020 on trails I'm familiar with, I don't think I need to become an owner by paying $6000 or whatever, to enjoy that experience, especially if there were a way to rent/demo. I wonder where all these bike products go. Especially all the shitty placeholder and stepping stone level parts.

I'm just saying I couldn't get my particular shock to play nicely with the bike. Tried different springs, 0-1 preload, started at the middle on the clickers and used bracketing, never got it to feel good. The bike isn't exactly a production frame so maybe some details got lost when I ordered the shock. EXT isn't exactly quick to reply to their e-mails so off it goes while I get it sorted out. The X2 has been working brilliantly in the mean time. Back to the topic, I'm not saying everyone should be riding 200mm Enduro bikes or that they...

Take a ext built for a completely different bike, maybe but mine is perfect, noticeable better than my ttx. Also wheelbase vs amount of suspension travel, Lately im thinking’s wheelbase > amount of travel for everything without massive hucks in it...
