1/31/2016 12:51pm Also, don't forget that CX racers can have a bike swapped as sort of a pit stop thing, such as if one's overly covered in mud, often with a very similar, if not identical setup.

1/31/2016 12:42pm Yes, let's not forget how easy it is to wrongly accuse people of "mechanical doping" out of ignorance. That poor guy not only got wrongly accused, but also had his bike run over (destroyed) by the motorbike (heavy, carrying 2 people).

Orbea and Turner looked so smooth (have a bit of trouble with that Commencal?
). Jamis's crank seemed to almost stay perfectly level--wonder if that right amount of kickback was designed in, or if it were just coincidence. Was paying attention to cable routing on some of them, and Turner has the most locked down setup of them all. I can speculate why you had so many chain drops with NW setups... mainly because I have had the same prob with my RF NW rings.

How do you say it pedals compared to other trail bikes? None of the glamour shots show any sort of pedaling, which might turn off some of those into 3hr rides with buddies going both up and down mountains and backcountry stuff.
