Varaxis Added a reply to The Battle Of Axle Standards!
4/3/2015 8:19pm This is where bikes like the Banshee Prime shines as an example. Swappable dropouts allow 157x12 rear, if you want the strongest wheel, but you still have a 73mm BB. Can run a 1x if you put the chainring on the outer position on a triple. If the Fox 36 came out with a swappable fitting that allowed 15x110, I...

Varaxis Added a comment about feature SRAM Introduces BOOST 148x12 and 110x15 Standard & 2016 Forks
4/3/2015 7:54pm Looks like just the spider is new to me. Personally, if there's no clearance issues with the chainstay, I'd continue to use the 49mm chainline cranks, just to make it so the chainline is better in the 42t cog, as it annoys me greatly that the chain drops to a small cog when I backpedal.

Varaxis Added a comment about video Vital RAW - Australian National Champs DH

It's not like 6" bikes haven't evolved to handle DH tracks better than DH bikes of years past and it's not like pedaling or sprinting is something DH racers shouldn't have to do. I love seeing Mic Hannah and Blenki pedal it out. Judging by how PMB and other tracks transformed over the years, I think it's safe to say the race venue organizers agree with you. Just trying to emphasize how big a factor other things are, like logistics, and how that matters more than how interesting a few parts of the track seem to online spectators. Might as...

World Cup worthy? I dunno, looks like some other tracks. It'd have to be better than Val Di Sole, regarding logistics, convenient area for pits, spectators and film crew, and have nearby tracks for XC and other events. I kind of like how there's a variety, like groomed Leogang, long open sprints in PMB, long natural terrain with lots of line choice in Vallnord, short and quick insanity in Windham, greasy jungle/rain forest muck in Cairns, steep slopes in Champery... visiting all these places in 1 season tests riders' skill all-around, and not just how they handle the "brutal" stuff.

Hybrid external/internal routing! Housing and hose goes through full length downtube armor! Best of both worlds! Innovation! Di2 compatible battery compartment can be used as storage compartment for tools, and serves as port for internal vacuum aerogel-insulated water bladder! Bottle mount under downtube doubles to store a spare tube! iSWeAT coming Spring 2017, co-developed with NASA, DARPA, and CERN with future-proof space age technology!

Please give a source that shows the RC is the "same" as the RCT3. It could be as similar as the FIT RLC compared to the FIT CTD or FIT RC2. Charger refers to the style of damper, similar to how FIT refers to Fox's version of it. They have tunes specific to the BoXXer and a DJ version of the Pike. Would you also predict that the RL would be more sensitive than the RLT or RCT3 in MoCo style of damper, due to its simplicity? There's no predicting here. The difference in how they feel is painfully obvious...

Now I can say I'm not the only one with that Pike RC problem. I've resorted to expelling the air pressure from the lowers, on top of using slick honey on the inside of the wiper seal, to try and make it more sensitive. I have a RCT3 aftermarket version on my 26 that feels much much better.

Looks really fun for a groomed bike park trail. Had to take a closer look at that lower section.

I read a rumor that "Maxima Ultra4 0W-30 Motorcycle Engine Oil" is the equivalent of Rock Shox Pike 0W-30 Susp Fork Fluid.

2/19/2015 5:04pm The more teeth it has, the less the chain has to pivot around its pins to wrap around it, therefore less friction (and a longer lasting chain).

The return force of the Command Post is controlled by how much air pressure you pump into it, at least for the Command Post IR. Spec states that it should not be pumped up to more than 25 psi. I have mine set to about 15 psi. With it completely empty, I have to nudge or bounce on the post to get it to return. On my post, it would leak out the pressure if I stored the post with it down for a couple days.
