Semi-related question, how do you hang your bike when doing fork servicing? I just stick another fork into the bike, since I have a spare and I only have wall hooks, feedback floor display stands, and my 1 feedback workstand. I figured I'd hook the saddle somewhere, but that only gave me ideas like maybe I'm better off having an...

Wow, the bushing bulge on the lowers looks so much lower than on RockShox's offerings... that certainly plays a big role in providing the extra stiffness and less bushing bind. Further apart = better for suspension performance, but the stanchions need to be that much longer (heavier) and need to have tight tolerance before they hit the inside-bottom of the lowers at max travel (no travel adjust, requiring unique parts for specific fork travel). That all said, if the Lefty had damping on a BOS level, I'd be all over that. The 45mm offset on this is a turn-off.

The front's pretty easy to do upright, but gets knocked over easily, doing even more damage, so I usually do it upside down with something soft like my gloves padding the vulnerable bits. Same reasons for the rear, even though cage lock makes it so easy. I've bent a few rotors enough to rub slightly trying to fit them in...

I also wish the hub had more PoE. It clunks loudly when engaging, especially when you have an uneven pedal stroke. Reminds me of a 18 PoE DT, it's so annoying. If it engaged with less noise and shock/feedback, I wouldn't notice it as much (and be less annoyed). Gnarly chunk you got there. That last pic reminds me of the Stairway to Hell in Noble Canyon. I rode that for the first time about a week ago and felt like my SJ EVO 26 with XC rear tire was undergunned. Pinch flatted it there even at 40 psi (pumped...

I'm looking for a video that was posted about 3 years ago, which featured a solo rider's PoV who I think had a Spanish name, riding along a mountain trail that wasn't very steep, but he held a 20+ MPH pace almost the entire time, with rock gardens that could very well deflect him off the cliff edge on the...

"New lightweight hubs feature..." what, besides having 28 spokes and hand-built Shimano quality? Sounds like they wanted to say something about them, but forgot.

RC is a sensationalist journalist. By stating that you usually believe in him, but don't this time, emphasizes the fact that what he publishes is questionable, which is how I see everything he writes. If you speak to him candidly, face to face, you'd get a more believable opinion. What he writes is shaped by his profession and his reputation.
