And why doesn't get Millie a rerun, as she is blocked at the trickiest turn of the course by a crashed rider in the main line?

This is honestly shocking. WBD is a private, for-profit company. If they decide Enduro isn't profitable enough to broadcast, fine. That's their business. But why does a private broadcaster have a say in whether an entire cycling discipline gets a World Cup? The UCI is a governing body. Its job is to organize, protect and develop cycling for its members, not decide which disciplines survive based on the ROI of a commercial partner. Not to be that guy that responds twice, but I often wondered if and how attention spans and social media played into the demise of the enduro format as well. I remember a decade ago long form photography essays and longer recap videos were the norm and celebrated, I think people's ability to appreciate that kind of content has significantly waned. Obviously that's far from the whole story but I wonder about how it played into it.

I suppose technically it was a slow run if you're looking at just the total run time, but her deficit was almost certainly due to time lost when she had a near wreck in the fourth sector. She was fastest in the first sector and at the 3rd split she was only 0.165 seconds behind Anna's time at that split. fwiw, last year was the first year we ever had to pay to get lawlor his creds at a world cup. $3k for the races we attended. it's not a budget killer for us, but $3k goes along way on other projects for us.

Each team is allowed to register photographers and videographers (each team then receives a set number of photo and video bibs for the season). if someone doesnt work for a team they can register as independent media once they have letters of assignment from a verified media outlet. there are little to no restrictions as to what can be shot/posted. I went from an enduro die hard fan when EWS started back in the day, to barely checking results or coverage around 2024. Some of it is personal, when EWS started out, I had met a lot of the French pros at local/regional/national races, it was easy to root for your local teenager: Nicolai, Cure, Dailly, Tordo and the legends Barel and Vouilloz. Little by little they started to retire or get hurt and not perform quite as well, these days I only recognise a handful of the names in the top 10. Hate to bring up a sour subject...

It’s a little more common on the road and cyclocross side of things. At least in the case of Thibau he’s on the same frame brand so it’s a relatively easy transition. Mondraker’s XC bike is the Podium RR a pretty standard looking top tube… Orbea Oiz?

"I find this really interesting as I can't remember that any biking athlete rode for 2 teams at the same time competitively." It's not super common any more, but two that come immediately to mind are John Tomac (#bitd) and Thibault Nys right now. I think we can expect to see big things from Mitterwallner in the future!
