I think there are many reasons for a team to hire Marc. To me he was always one of the fewer eloquent riders who had an educated humor and made it into the media (like minaar or needles). That doesn't make him faster or more stylish, but to me it matters. Just so that I can prove to my wife...

I`m not impressed - He could as well have ridden a motorboat - it`d make NO difference. Above that I think it´s stupid. Why take something so pure like surfing and polute it with an oily, two-stroke driven motor? At times when we know that our hunger for fossil fuels will one day destroy all that surfing spots it seems like someone has no clue.

It has been in the past. Don´t know if it´s changed - miraculously there's no whining about it. Maybe it comes in handy at this kind of course. Bruni though has always been wearing it - at least from what I saw last season
