The bike park in question is Fujimi Panorama. They invited Martin Whiteley several years ago to help them out so it could be there. The last DHI World Cup in Japan was in Arai Mountain; maybe some of the old-timers here remember how wild it was. Another possibility is Izu (2020 Olympic XCO course), as the track is already build and is definitely world-class. It might also be possible that we use both tracks (distance is about 2 and half hours by car) where there will be XC and DH in a double-header weekend or, most probably, consecutive weekends.

There's a couple of good points to discuss, in the issue you raise. It appears to me that there's a common understanding within the mtb community on a lot of things, but not on all. I'll start making a list of some: 1 - trail etiquette 2 - understanding of trail/land access issues 3 - willingness to dig to ride...

It actually does look like the fuel ex-e imo. I didn't recognize it at first since they didn't hide it. Don't know numbers but you are not wrong. What else can I say without saying anything. Hmmm. Mark Maurissen has his already, Kathy Winton just got hers, and Wyn and the rest of the team are about to get theirs...
