1/15/2026 3:57pm Gwin is a full part of the team. They approached shared sponsors and combined all budgets to make the finances work. Sounds like Gwin gets paid what he is used to, and Frameworks probably makes out with more budget and even more attention from sponsors and fans now that Gwinner is with them.

1/9/2026 5:14pm I think the other racers could learn a thing or two from Aaron with how he conducts himself. this interview is a prime example of a professional athlete getting the news out about new deals, and letting us in behind the scenes so to speak of how these deals come together and how it can work in a race season. Kudos to Aaron, Frameworks team and Vital for providing this. Good luck on the season ahead!

11/2/2025 5:07am https://youtu.be/VD94rOJMwiM?si=6RiS2FRKjRXKrFs8 That was my pseudo-scientific effort into the subject... I'll summarise it for those who don't want to click... It's basically me mouth breathing for 5 minutes, trying to see if I could use an eeb for training zone blocks. Tldr: you can and it's surprisingly easy. But ... Since making that video, I tried quite a few times off camera and ultimately gave up on it. So a little context, I don't have time to ride AND train separately. I quite like my rides to be taxing even if they don't confirm to a plan or training block based...

11/2/2025 5:05am Are you training (focused training time not just ride time) 8-11 hrs per week (5-6 sessions) with specific goals? If yes then do an 80/20 plan of polarization with that 80% being Z2 and the 20% being a combo of threshold and high intensity. Due to the total volume of training the body can't recover from higher amounts of high intensity, so it's Z2 working at a level that has adaptations but doesn't prevent recovery from those very key high intensity sessions. These athletes will also shift that 80/20 (70/30 or 60/40) to lower Z2 and more focused intensity in...

10/19/2025 5:32pm You could have a "Behind the Times" interview series to plumb the depths of why Dak eats chicken sausages and why Neko called Gwin a lib for using green diesel in their Kubota excavator. (Obviously better and more topics than that, but still....) Stuff like that fuels fan engagement.

10/14/2025 3:58pm At US Nationals, everyone was squatting in tents all over the mountain, so none of us had anything to do when not practicing. So you literally hung with the team guys & mechanics in the pits out of the way & listened to stories. Kovachi Wheels used to be at all Nationals & John Kovachi was simply amazing. He'd spend every minute of every day just lacing up wheel after wheel & his crew of workers/racers were infectious too. Brent Ratelle & all their "slalom" specialists (BMX pros mostly) introduced me to Sun Wheels. That crew made racing possible for...

6/2/2025 3:44pm Can I patent the ole one eye squint? For real tho, equalizing the gap on each side between the sanctions and bars is way easier than aligning the stem with the tire.

4/16/2025 2:28pm I have encountered ice on the rocks in the higher Adirondack Mountains in early October as well as 70F weather other times. It will be interesting to see how conditions play out.

4/8/2025 3:59pm I am personally very concerned about the ability for the user to toggle to class 3 and the higher speed cutoff. Specialized just opened a can of worms with access issues and ebikes being lumped in with electric motorbikes. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

4/3/2025 4:20pm I bet this new Norco rides really well. But that aside, thanks what I hate about ebikes- suspension no longer matters, geometry, compliance, none of it matters anymore. The only thing that really matters is the powertrain and the brakes. People fret over things like the quality of the display, whether you can add overdrive to your older motor via a firmware update, etc rather than how the bike rides. Crappy climbing geometry doesn't matter since you can pedal seated with the dropper down. Descending geometry is less critical because the much lower CoG a motor+battery gives you makes up...
